Re: Old Firm Double

Is a huge ask, Celtc and Rangers are both on top form at the moment in the league, neither have dropped any points in quite a while, so not sure. Coming to ER is probably celtcs biggest game in a while, and hopefully we can take something from it. Would happily take the loss at ER if it means we beat the huns in the cup though, as losing wont have a huge effect on challenging for 3rd place!

I wouldnt say celtic are on top form. They where lucky to beat St Mirren and Inverness.

Re: Old Firm Double

I think Rangers are going to be harder to beat than Celtic. I don't quite know why though: they have been dreadful whilst their results have been impressive. They were stinking in Greece yet their Anti-Football [and there's rarely been a better description of tactics] yielded a draw.

If Celtic had got a result against Barca I think we would have had a better chance tomorrow. Still, we've beaten them the last twice we've played them at ER.

Re: Old Firm Double

Apparently our point through at Parkhead was the last time Celtic dropped a point. And the huns draw with Aberdeen the next day was the last time they dropped a point as well!

Re: Old Firm Double

I wouldn't put a single penny on this happening at William Hills no matter the odds. Hibs are definitely improving under Mixu but there just isnt the quality that we had under Mowbray when most Hibees genuinely felt we could beat the OF every time we played them. But in saying that, its been over a year (10th Feb 2007) since Celtic last beat us...

but 3 points and a place in the Quarter-finals, over the next two games, would certainly be acceptable

I am with you on this one Smurf, I just cant see us getting beat today,Celtc are not that good ,hopefully we will be "in their faces" from kick off today,I dont think they like that type of game.

Next week though I am a bit less confident, but we seem to do quite well against them,if we score first then who knows.A point today minimum and a QF place next week and I will be happy
