Can't blame any of them - they paid good money to watch that dross and probably took advantage to get to buses etc early. We had a 3.5 hour car journey anyway so stayed to the bitter end as usual.

Re: leaving early

loads of folk left around me with 12 minutes left

I remember as the ball went dead, loads of folk stood up and left and I checked my phone thinking it was nearly time

you don't leave the pictures before the film ends or your nice meal before desert so why is it acceptable to walk out a game well before the end...

personally I love it when loads of folk leave then Hibs score the winner

I always tell them how wonderful a goal it was... even if it was a 5 yard tap in

We always go down into the concourse and watch the end on the tv screens there once the 4th offical has indicated the amount of stoppage time to be played, cause as we sit at the back of the top tier in the west, it can take ages to get out if we don't. Is that ok?

bet they don't do it EVERY WEEK tho...

back in the late 1990s I remember reading an issue of Follow Follow where they advocated a season ticket policy of "are you going to stay for 90 mins... yes or no" so that the folk bothered by those leaving early could avoid them

on days like tday when Hibs are cack I suppose that's a joke...

but I have seen "big" games when it's level with 5 minutes to go and loads of folk get up and leave... why beats me

Re: leaving early

Noramally i stay till the final whistlek but due to the game finishing at about 10 to 5 roughly and me sitting towards the dunbar end of the east stand i left a couple of mins early to start heading up to waverly to catch my train, only missed any added time (waited till 90 n the scoreboard), sorry if missing 2 mins or so of injury time having traveled through from glasgow to watch hibs makes me less of a supporter

dont mean this to sound like a dig at the opening poster in case it may sound like it, its not ment to be

I remember watching the stands empty against dundee utd when they went 2-0 up for usto come back to 2-2 earlier this season to which a few "walker-outer" (for lack of a better term) started heading back in found this quite funny as peple who passed my by in the ground to leave were appearing back or missed the comeback

it not one person leaving early for good reason like yourself, it's the loads of "I must leave early as I need to get the car out and beat the traffic to Restalrig" punters that bother me

given the amount of late goals Hibs score and also flash points / incidents in the latter stages of games... do these folk not realise they are likely to miss something

We don't actually leave, we just go down to the concourse to avoid getting stuck at the top of the stairs at full time!

Re: Leaving early?!

I left at half time for the first time ever, the game was sewn up we had two goals in the first five minutes and the team just sat back on the win. Was shite to watch but if we done that against one of the ugly sisters we would get punished.

Re: Leaving early?!

I'll admit sometimes I do leave a few minutes early but never for no good reason. As posted above it can take a while to get out after the whistle has gone and in certain games i've had stuff to do straight away afterwards. I do usually watch the last few mins on the tv downstairs like Fletch's pen last week as I had to then rally to the Airport.

Some 'fans' do however just leave if we are not attacking at every opportunity and it seems a bit boring. I dont agree with this though.

Put it this way how many people thought of leaving at half time last week?? Quite alot I think! How many people thought better and stayed to watch us come back like many a time this season??? (still not as many as I wold like though)

Its alarming the amount of peope that leave with 20 mins to go, there are people who continuosly moan besdie me then leave at half-time no matter what the score! I think we are slighlty turning into the "faithful" from Ibrox.

Yep, I can see the point if you have to be somewhere really important and really quickly, but I don't think it's worth it just to make sure you are home in time to catch the opening credits for Ant and Dec's saturday takeaway!!!

I've only left early once (Dunfy game 0-4 under the blobster on a freezing Tuesday night I think, left after 62 mins!!!!). Easter Road is hardly the biggest stadium and I've never been stuck on the stairs for longer than maybe 2 minutes waiting to get out so I can't really buy that excuse from people.

I just think we as a society hate to feel like we are hanging around in a line when we could be 30 seconds further up the road. It's not like we don't know the scheduled time a game is likely to finish so apart from folk who maybe only have 1 possible train time to catch I just don't understand the dash for the exits every week. (Old or Disabled people or folk genuienly scared by crowds on staircases etc excepted obv. - although as I can witness they too could just wait 3 or 4 mins after the whistle and the stadium is empty so they'd have no bother getting out then.)
