That was torture...

Gladly take the 3 points but that was absolute torture of a performance IMO.

It reminded me of how we used to on the rare occurance win under Boaby Williamson..

The conditions obviously played a part but it doesn't excuse it all.

not quite sure what you mean but if it is that Smurf's got it spot on again then you're 100% right - predictable accurate assessment from Smurf - absolute torture of a performance - in fact i thought more Miller than Williamson at times with 11 guys behind the ball.

His coupon could be described as beautiful compared to that 'performance'..

It was horrific. I think we left our half no more than six times in the second half.

No passing. No movement. No first touch. No control. No vision. No creativity. No awareness.

The result hides a real shocker.

And why for the love of God do we not have the basic tactical awareness not to have ANYONE up when they had a corner and worse still nobody picking the man on the edge of the box (Black). I do not begin to understand why Mixu didnt address that.

Their goalie could afford to spend much of the second half on his haunches not far away from the half way line FFS!

What an embarrassment!

Strangest thing is winning a game like that. The Gods must be with us

We should also stop pulling every player back at corners , result = ball cleared then comes straight back

Re: That was torture..

It was a truely grim game, first 6 minutes aside I have not seen a lower standard of football for at Easter Road for a long, long time.

The opportunity of living in Bridgend seems more appealing than going to Falkirk on Wednesday right now.

I think the conditions played a massive part.

Notice the amount of times ICT played the ball right down Makas throat and nearly to great effect. Hibs played the wrong way today AFAIC. Cant believe we still tried to play football in that, still tried to play the ball back to Maka in that IMO is suicide. ICT played the right way and could have (should have) got something out the game.

Mixus fault that was.

I agree to a fair extent. Both my laddies played in similar conditions this morning and it was truly a nightmare. The wind definitely affecting overhead conditions - and that park is an absolute midden.

My arguement though is, why did Mixu continue to try to "play football" and Maka was clearly still trying to play from the back. Theres times when you need to play football and just hoof it.

One team tried to play today, one team hoofed it into the box right down the GK's throat, fair enough we won but which was most effective?

Completley agree with this, i have always wondered how fans of other teams have felt when they have done this to us and have thought that i would hate to see hibs have everyone back defending a corner/free kick and today i indd fell quite angry - punt the ball up the park then let it come right back at you, not to mention the lack of "pushing out" when the ball was cleared - soooo damn frustrating no chace of a counter attack

I believe that Ivan Golac's Dundee utd team used to leave 3 playes up aong the half way line when defending a corner - so ive heard from tam cown on Off the Ball, great source i know - but if true then thas is one hell of a way to defend a corner, making the team with th corner keep at least 3 players back

Yes we tried, didn't you notice? Misplaced passes etc. Maka constantly playing the ball short to full backs.

I didn't actually. We looked to get the ball forward very quickly as we've done in recent games..

I know what Bob means though Kenny. There were a number of balls played along the deck that simply did not get to where they were intended - often because of the mole hilled terrain, sometimes because of the wind and other times because of technique.

And less congestion in the box thus helping the keeper

Fair points but i put the sloppy passing when players are 6-12 feet away from each other down to poor technique.

I thought Inverness were more hungrier. You'd think we lost the two early goals..
