I'll start, had a call and he was informed that allegedly Petrie is selling 3 more players in Jan and Collins not getting to replace them????:

Anybody heard anything different????????????????????????????

talk 107 at easter road awaiting collins press conference,understands one player to be sold and not to expect any of the cash.

What has been told to me:

There are 1/2/3 players leaving in January for sizeable money i.e. £1M each. The funds won't be reinvested in the team because it will be used to part fund the new east stand. Whilst we don't need the money, and the new east stand will be happening regardless what the funds mean is that rather than have a mortgage for £9M, we'll be saddled with one for £6M.

Collins apparently feels that some of the funds should have been used to strengthen the team.

I can sympathise with both viewpoints.

i dont think it will be to fund the new east stand cause we wont be paying for it

I can't, whats the point of a new stand if there's nobody going to the games.
think RP might be in for a shock on the number of seaon tickets next season.

My guess, he has lost the dressing room again and coupled with the lack of funds coming his way in January, he has walked. I agree with P & G above, I expect us to lose at least two key players this winter and had it not been for Fletch's injury, it would have been three.

things wont change under the present regime, any fan who is happy with this situation should have a long hard look at them selves,I am not interested in how rosy the balance sheet looks, I want to see a decent team in the green and white playing well and acheiving something,I would sit on a spike in wind, snow, rain to do this, £8.8 MIL in and only £360k spent on players is disgracefull,JC was never the man to work well in this situation and but for the cis win the sack was nearer than you think,we wont get macgee or hughs as they wont work under petrie,so be prepared for another cheap option but do not worry we have very little debt

thinking along those lines myself, i think he has got away with a few mistakes in his time at easter road, i dont think he can cut it as a manager to be honest. tommy craig telling him what to say whilst sitting behind him, tells its own story for me.

I don't expect to see Boozey Jones or Murphy here much longer............ all three have been tapped up some time ago I'm fairly sure.

However, a new manager will come in with the same financial constraints in place.
If Rodders didn't trust JC to invest wisely, then he is unlikely to hand over a stash of cash to the next one in.

He has just been on Talk 107.. Totally gutted he sounds.. He has been thinking about this for weeks.. He reckons there will be a player to leave in jan and he would not get any of the funds to spend.. His opinion is the next manager will have to work on VERY LIMITED budget like him.. OVER 8 MILLION IN AND 360000 OUT.. I FIND THAT SHOCKING TOO.. What does Petrie expect.. I feel he has to comment now on WHAT the next manager will be given..
