totti hibees is on the way to a first team debut
Re: Collins has resigned

Gutted, although i didn't agree with some of his decisions. I thought he could be the man to take us forward, i hope it wasn't lack of support from the board that made him resign if so we could be in trouble. the board now need to find a replacement who will play the hibees style of football we all want, yogi sprung to mind when i heard the news.

Donaldson was a bosman.

O'Brien and Maka cost roughly £450,000 combined and that was pretty much all we spent on transfer fees in the summer.
Donaldson cost about 120K signing on fee etc.

OB and Maka 450K - Money well spent? - Not in my book.

Maybe why the board were reluctanct to give him money in January then.

Collins revealed he quit because he felt he had achieved all he could for Hibernian, and it was the limit put on his spending on new players which appears to have prompted his shock departure.
Collins said: "I feel that I leave with the CIS Cup in the trophy cabinet, a fine set of young players, a great new training ground.
"During my time as manager we have brought in over £8.8million and paid out £360,000 in compensation [on new players].
"My reasons for resigning are that I feel I have taken the club under the current resources available as far as I can."

So basically we're fucked. It's gonna be exactly the same for the new manager.

Got to be Mcghee. But think getting permission from Motherwell to speak to him may be an issue. also compensation should we get to talk to him

Big baby, surely Petrie would have warned Collins of the clubs spending plans over the next x amount of years and he would have understood that at the time. Just strikes me as a selfish man.

Would he be interested though?

I'd like him as manager and he can bring McCorrmack and Porter with him.

This is fucking mental,

2. if he did have ongoing problems with the board/club, then why the fuck did he allow himself to be photographed at East Mains, all smiles and talking about the future?

Carry on like this HIbs and the fucking Gunts WILL BE LAUGHING AT US

1. Possibly because he had received assurances that it was not going to be the case.
2. Possibly because he had received assurances that it was not going to be the case. And Petrie told him today thinking that yesterday would mean that he would be willing to put up with this rather than let himself look stupid by resigning the day after.

The board are taking absolute liberties. And they are doing it by continually letting the manager take the blame for any problems and shielding themselves from it at the same time. It's about time the board were made aware that we are not as fucking stupid as these cunts think...

So the truth has come out.We spent £360 000 instead of the £900 000 that was bandied about.Shocking.

We are a bigger club than Motherwell however i accept that at the present moment his current club may be showing a bit more ambition on the playing side of things than we seem to be at the present time.

Yeah I think we are a bigger club and with the training ground I think he could be interested (if scotland don't want him).

s after games on the pitch, even in his resignation notes saying HE brought the cup into the cabinet, even though they weren't his players, as stated elsewhere he would have known how little there would have been to spend and what he did wasn't exactly money well spent.

IMO the new boss will get money to spend if they can show they can spend it wiser than Collins.
