Lost midfield last seen months ago?

Where the hell has the dig and aggression gone that was so evident at the start of the season? Yesterday i saw something in Noubissie to suggest he might be a decent player but the rest of the midfield were scared to put a tackle in at all so it seemed. Really really stuggling in the engine room right now with Boozy pulling out of tackles a lot of the time, Kerr running about chasing shadows and Stevenson blowing hot and cold and perhaps suffering from second season expectations. These are the three guys who play there most weeks and while Kerr comes in for much of the stick i think both Boozy and Stevenson need to take some responsability too for the poor displays in recent weeks. Would not hold my breath either that we will get some physical presence type player signed in January either so will be a case of going with what we have. Personal choice right now would be to get Lynch and Noubissie in the engine room if going to play a 4-5-1/4-3-3 and carry one luxury player in the centre be it Zemmama or Boozy. Dreading the thought of Falkirk next week already as their midfield will get wired in about ours if it is the same one that has played most games together this season and i fear Hibs will be found wanting again. I think this is a season of transition for us sadly and might just have to tough it out in the hope the experience gained by some players goes on to benefit them sooner rather than later. Anyone else see some similiarities with the team from four years ago? Only difference now is we do not have enough players to pull us thru games and get the points.

That is where i see him playing with a couple enforcers protecting him and winning the ball to do damage in the final third.

I think it's the role Mowbray had in mind but appears not to be what JC has in mind..

If we stick with the formation we played yesterday which was 4 4 2, it has to be Noubissie with Boozy, Kerr & Zemmama. I think Lewis needs a break.

Boozy can be infuriating. One week he looks like he is world class, the next he gives the ball away every pass he tries to make.

I also reckon you're spot on with toughing it out with the young guys.
Pity , because two really experienced, hardened pros would make a big difference.
Likes of Christian Dailly.
I know he is beyond our means ,but that's an example of the kind of guy i would like to see at ER come January.

Would we consider a move for Barry Nicholson of Aberdeen (Out of contract in the summer with a deadline of today to sign a new deal)
