All Quiet On The Eastern Front?

East Mains and East Stand that is. Anyone got any idea how things are progressing with either development as things seem to have gone extremely quiet.

Was East Mains not supposed to be finished by now? Seems to be little sign of progress on the official site, and we're surely getting into the period where we've most to gain from having proper training facilities.

In the 2 months since the AGM the East Stand redevelopment also seems to have gone very quiet. No sign of the fans consultation etc, and I see on the official site we're now selling half season tickets for the east, west and south stands - something I would not have expected if the ground capacity was going to reduce to knock down the current East Stand before the end of the season. Maybe reading too much into this, but I'm beginning to suspect the East Stand will be with us at least until the end of the 07/08 season.

Maybe we've decided to spend the money on players in January instead.....

East Mains is finished,They're moving to the site in January i think.

I'm sure the delay is to give the pitches extra time to bed in etc......

I reckon a year at least before anything starts with the East stand......

Good news re East Mains - and the East Stand if that proves to be the case (as I'm in no rush to see it go).

I certainly can't see how the redevelopment can start this season if half season tickets are going to be sold - it would be enough of a struggle to fit everyone from the east into other parts of the ground as it is, without increasing the season ticket numbers further.

My own theory on this is that Hibs don't have the money (or are telling us they don't have the money) to re-develop the East Stand at present. The sale of Fletcher/Boozy/Murphy will take place in the next two windows and the redevelopment will take place after that has come to pass.
