went with stanton and hunter, geebsie just about deserves it for that goal at tynie alone!
keeping sauzee for midfield. never seen stanton play, but according to my dad he was like sauzee so thats good enough for me |

Has to be Blackley and Black, big Jim did nothing fancy but played his heart out and a gentleman on and of the park, had the pleasure of his company on many occasions and always great to listen to his tales. Special mention to Madson and McNamee no skill, no talent but what passion and heart would never back away from anything. Thanks for this topic brings back lots of great memories from years gone bye.

Voted for Sauzee (Greatest ever player i have saw play in the green & white)

It had to be 'Sloop' for me with 'Cilla' alongside him. Both no nonsense defenders though John B wasn't short on skill.

For players I've seen Sauzee is a natch alongside Geebsie, but considering general opinion, it's impossible to ignore the qualities Sir Patrick of Stanton had, so it's a Sauzee/Stanton combo for me.
As an aside, people keeping either Franck or Pat for their midfield might be playing a dangerous game.I cant recall Franck playing there for Hibs and I'm not sure Stanton did either.There is plenty of worthy midfielders throughout our History, might it be a hall of fame Hibs team without Sauzee or Stanton? From what I've heard from my dad, I'd play John Blackley at the back. Paired with Franck Sauzee, from what I've seen of him.
