Re: Yesterdays attendance!

I was a bit surprised at empty seats in the FF and also a few in the East.

Being 15 YO it might be an alien concept but some folk actually have to work weekends, I'll miss about half a dozen league matches or so due to On Calls and add on another couple that will clash with other commitments that come along later on in the year. Will still buy my season ticket though to make sure that I don't have any hassel getting tickets to matches I want to go to.

Re: Yesterdays attendance!

As it was a Hibs Kids match, some ST's were relocated to the South Stand so they can sit next to their HK guests. Still, that must be the highest attendance for a D.Utd game since SPL started.
Good to have all 4 sides busy and the Dundee Td fans were even in good voice.

I missed yesterdays game because i had a rugby match on, i also missed the St.mirren game (thank god) so i know thats a reason for about 20 odd missing the game yesterday! sounded like it was a craking game though with a good advert to scottish football from both sides

Re: Yesterdays attendance!

Not all season ticket holders can attend every game. As someone living in Skye I make every other game or so at home but usually make sure someone else uses our tickets. Glad I was there yesterday though. Despite the result I thought we were better than of late.

I'm glad you said this Ian as I was beginning to think I was in the minority who thought we didn't play too badly yesterday.

I thought it was a great game. Good football and exciting to watch. Even if we had not won I did feel the entertainment value was there. Also to give credit where credit is due Levine has his team playing attractive football with a tough edge (which I find is what we lack sometimes). The only real downer was the ref who did okay to start with but ended up being a "look at me I'm in charge" showman. MOTM for me was Hogg however some good shifts by a few others.
Well done, both sides.

Just to be pedantic, we sold out against Dundee United March/April 2006 when everyone attending the game was guaranteed a ticket to the semi against Hearts.

Re: Yesterdays attendance!

Thought there was more than that, but I think that the corporate bit probably isn't counted in the official attendance. That was pretty busy yesterday, and there didn't look a lot of space at all. Probably add on around 1,000 to the attendance with that and that is leaving only 2,000 empty seats which seems a bit more accurate to me.

Best Dundee Utd support I can mind at ER in a very long time as well.
