more serious point to make

About the game to-day, 1-1 draw bad enough, but we must ask ourselves when are hibs going to get a prolific goal scorer as we did not score once again.

Dont you think collins should bring in a couple of players in the january window.

Re: more serious point to make

I know people like Antoine Curier but he never looks like scoring and wins very few headers for a big target man. (I can only think of 1 today)

We have a striker. Benji. Need to get him back in the team.

Dare I say this, but I watched him closely yesterday and we could do alot worse than Colin Nish. Gave McManus a torried time, saying that I do like Courier.

I agree, he may be worth a shot. He always usually gives Jones a hard time when he plays against us, and he scores a decent amount of goals and would score more probably as he would get better service most of the time than he does currently. However, Hibs would have to offer him a decent wage for him to come, and Petrie may not do that.

Watched it yesterday aswell and thought Nish played well. Probably should have scored but he put him self about and created a few chances. The fact that his a hibs fan (i think?

Re: more serious point to make

I'm thinking more and more that the points we drop have to do with management more than with players.

Some players must be dropped, and we need new players in some areas.

Re: more serious point to make

well i think that we really need a striker who can take players on
take shots from anywhere and doesnt try to take to many players on and gets the ball on target 9 times out of 10

Re: more serious point to make

sorry to say it but MAC is pish, a lumbering center forward with no touch, or eye for goal. His chance in the first half highlighted that, a derek riorden type striker would have taken a touch and slammed it home. What did MAC do? Pissed about with step overs before getting tackled. Donaldson should have started IMO

Re: more serious point to make

Fletcher has the potential to be a prolific goalscorer for Hibs IMO.

This seasons evidence so far would support that.

Benji could be if he just worked a bit harder instead of relying on other players to work around him, he has quality and an eye for goal but he has got to work harder.

Donaldson knows where the net is and for me,can chip in with a few goals aswell.

Curier is an all round different player to these 3 because he plays with his back to goal tries to hold up the ball and wins headers.. more like a target man. I'm sure he will be working on his finishing in training and once that improves i can see him scoring a few aswell.

All I'm saying is we shouldn't be getting to worked up about not finding the net just because we have not scored as much as we would of liked in the last what? 3 games.

As long as we stick to our football and create chances. I'm sure our forwards will score plenty. Mon the Hibees

Re: more serious point to make

fletch has played less than 12 games this season but has scored 6 goals, so thats better than 1 every 2 games, isnt that quite prolific? or are we looking for a 40+ a season type striker?
