"Collins is sweating over a bug which has affected several members of his squad, including striker Abdessalam Benjelloun.

Moroccan Benjelloun won't be ready for the visit of St Mirren on Saturday because he is still feeling the effects of fasting for Ramadan, and is also struggling to recover from the effects of a trip abroad on international duty.

"Benji went to Morocco to play for his country's Olympic team," Collins explained. "He had a sore knee before he went but played 80 minutes. Both he and Merouane Zemmama were not felling too well in the early part of the week, but Merouane trained yesterday and, hopefully, depending on the bug, Benji will start back [training] today, although he will not be ready for the weekend."

I feel heart sorry for Benji. There was a lot of pressure put on his shoulders this season, a lot by himself, and he seems to be going from one bad time to another.

He is a player who thrives on confidence and from the support that the fans give him. His early season (after friendlies) form was poor and he's suffered a load of niggly injuries/illnesses, but personally, I can't wait to see him back in the squad.

I think he's fallen down the pecking order considerably over the past couple of months, but surely he gives us something different than the other striking options offer.
