The Result

I know all teams should strive to win every match no matter what and up until now in the league Hibs had come out tops more times than not but being realistic we were never going to go the whole season unbeaten and with every game the team continued the unbeaten run the bigger the amount of pressure was put on them to grind out the same result every week.
But now that we have finally been beaten i feel that that pressure surely must be lifted from the players and before such a big match as the Edinburgh Derby its probably best before the Jambos come calling, eager to break our records. So i was wondering what everyone else thought of what the result will do for us

Agree with that.

We have to win next week though.

Looking at the league we are only one point behind the Old Firm. We have started the season exceptionally well and we have only lost to one team, a team which at least tries to play good attacking football. Let's hope we can get back on the right track next Saturday.

Can see your point but disagree. If we are to sustain a challenge then every game must be a pressure game and derbys are always pressure games anyway. If anything, losing today means winning the following games is even more vital. 'mon the Hibees

Re: The Result

Hmmm. Obviously, I can't watch the game down here, but I did watch the Old Firm. Must say that again, I am totally unsurprised that we've turned both of them over this season- they just haven't looked that good to me this season.

That said, is it a wee bit worrying that the one team that appears to be playing us at our own game is beating us twice in the space of 2 or 3 weeks? Or should we just be grateful that we'll hump all the other lumpen fuckers in the SPL?
Of corse I'm also forgetting that we need to have a bogey team- it's like the law....

P.S. Hullo Euskal

No. Mike Tumilty was the ref for the cup game.

Re: The Result

i hope JC and TC absolutely bollock the players and get them fired up to put a cricket score past both st mirren and hearts. If we want europe we need to beat teams like the saints and the jambos comfortably.

No idea why you think JC should bollock the players? Care to explain.

If you mean I hope JC motivates the players for the next game as he has done before previous ones [remember the old analogy of taking one game at a time
