Not been in the squad for weeks.

benji is the only member of the squad injured, and whats he been doing? training? no but praying!

maybe am-morroco can tell us how dangerous this praying malarky is in the muslim faith if its keepin benji out!

Ramadan isn't finished till next week. Some point between Sunday and Tuesday I think.

If the dude cannae play because he isn't fit due to the rigours of observing his faith so be it. Just because someone is a football player doesn't mean that he is not a human being.

ramadan will finish on friday, and the prayer has nothing to do with (his) injury. you might look for another reason rather than prayer. going on stairs is more dangerous for benji than making prayer.

Let's no get exicited - it's a squad game and we have a good squad. Plenty of cover but im sure Benji's period of spiritual reflection will mean he is in a good frame of mind for the forthcoming games.

i think benji is going to have a serious problem getting back into the team.

With fletch looking like the main man, donaldson bangin them in and courier brings that prescence along with the emerging youngins, benji is going to have to work very hard to get his way back into the team.

Thing is nobody knows for certain until it happens and then it's all down to who you listen to. I remember when I was at school, muslims from north africa would be celebrating Eid (marking the end of ramadan) whilst those from pakistan/bangladesh area would still be fasting (might have been the other way around though......

The reconciliation of (solar) days and lunar months isn't straightforward, it appears.

Benji and Zemmama were on setanta on saturday morning talking about ramadan. Apparently Ramadan ended for them last week and they were both hoping to play against Rangers this past saturday but it turned out Benji had injured his leg so couldnt play. They said that they trained at night after they had eaten instead of with the rest of the team, so he must have got his injury there.
