As I said on Hibs.net it should be called the Canon Hannon Stand, because without him there would be no Hibernian FC

The stands are pointing roughly in the right directions. The West should really be called the "Main Stand", and the South could be renamed the "Dunbar End" or "Dunbar Stand". I have a feeling that BigManAndy might like a suggestion the East is renamed the "Ye Cannae Sit, Stand!!". Or maybe not......
The suggestion to name it the "Canon Hannon Stand" may be historically accurate, but it would do nothing to contradict the impression some hold that we are younger siblings of one half of the bigot boys. Coupled with few of our fans knowing what it means, I feel it would be a very inappropriate choice.

This reminds me of when Manchester City help a vote to decide what to call their new stand behind the home goals. This online poll was sabotaged by Man Utd fans who were all voting for Man City legend Colin Bell so that the home fans would all be sitting in the Bell End!!!
