Last year after 9 games we had 11 points.

After 9 games we were without a Manager with Mowbray off to WBA.

12 Months on we've won the CIS Cup. We've all but written off our debt and in JC we've a manager not buggering off and we're 10 Points better off.

and what do you think the difference is?

IMHO it's the fact that we have gone from the "hopefully we'll win more games than we lose" mentality to the "we aim to win every game" mindset. I also believe that TEAM effort more than individual skills is making us lose less games - I for one really have not missed any of the players who "went on to bigger and better things" over the last two seasons.

It keeps coming back to the mentality of Collins. He is a winner and is instilling a harder edge to the team. We are proving difficult to beat.

I believe that's a factor. Mowbray had much lower expectations/set lower expectations. Collins wants to win things as a manager right from the off and he already has.

Good point that got me thinking. Scott Brown is a great player but isnt one who was a massive influence on games for me. I said at the start of the season that we had better players last year but may end up with a better team. Cant say I was too impressed with the signings mind (handsup smiley)

No no no. I'm no convinced. Arrogant. Six pack. Bad man management. Etc etc.

Doing something as ridicilous as looking at the way we are playing and the way our team is showing much more versatility in the way they are set up in games is just being ridicilous. Suggesting that we are in any way a much much better team, and have added a lot to our overall game than we had under Mowbray is heresy
