Boozy

Does anyone else think that Boozy might struggle to get back into the starting XI after yesterday's performance. Hibs passing game improved immeasurably after his substitution, I thought young Chisholm and McCann looked superb in the middle of the park, and Brian Kerr seemed more effective when he was allowed more freedom. This season, he's harly left the centre circle!

I was once Boozy's biggest fan, but recently a lot of games seem to have passed him, and Kerr, by completely. He really doesn't seem to be the same quality player as he was before his injury. Things aren't coming off for him and he seems to get frustrated and down-heartened. I am beginning to wonder whether he severly over-performed when he first came to the club and we're seeing the real player now. I sincerely hope not.

Re: Boozy

Beuzelin has been instrumental for us this season, passing has been abit slack last couple of games though. Chisholm did have a superb game yesterday and im glad he did as there are some that don't rate him that much. Those are the one's that canny understand why McCann was deployed in the midfield berth towards the start of the season also.

We can't really judge yesterday on any section of the field as Kilmarnock were dire and have been the worst team to come to Easter Road this season.

Re: Boozy

To me Boozy has been either extremely hot or extremely cold this season. His inconsistency is rather bizarre considering the talent he has. He seems to dwell on the ball too much at times and seems to laid back I think. Thats one half of boozy but the other is outstanding

Re: Boozy

Have to agree with most who have already posted. Saw Boozy against Celtic and thought he was MoM. Doesn't look to have done badly in other games from what I've seen although he is not infallible of course and has poor games and makes mistakes like any other player. Would agree that Kerr appeared to have a good game at the weekend from what I saw on the highlights and got forward well. I've been pretty happy with him so far too although he also has his critics. Don't they all though?

Kerr had a very good game hardly wasted a pass and had an excellent game against celtic. Think he is starting to come good and making that midfield place his own. He didnt play well against motherwell but noone did really and out of a bad bunch of midfielders in that game I thought he was the best

Re: Boozy

To be honest, I think Boozy is one of JC/TC's automatic picks. He has wasted a lot of balls recently though and seems to have lapses in concentration, however he makes up for it with some fantastic long passes and a great workrate.

JC was saving him for Ibrox. Hes been great this season. Trouble is Boozy is on the ball so much that if he makes the odd stray pass its highlighted. Thought Chisholm was superb yesterday. Amazing what a rest for a young player can do.

Re: Boozy

boozy is the only physical presence we have in the midfield, you cant replace his passing when he has one of his better games. Hopefully he will thrive on a big pitch at Hunbrox.

Agreed. He is a class act and has great vision to see a pass. He has made a great contribution to Hibs since he came in.

His contract is up next summer. I for one really hope he can be persuaded to sign on for another 2-3 years. He is someone I look forward to seeing in a Hibernian jersey.

IMO they are our best players. Beuzelin has got great awareness and vision backed up by ability. Very important to this football club.

Murphy is just class. I think they are ahead of the rest, they seem to have that affect on the team that if their injured or not playing you can tell right away. They make a difference to the way we play.

Re: Boozy

Boozy's been good this season and on occasions brilliant (Wed wasnt one of them though). He usually puts in a shift and his tackling isnt bad for such a creative player. I'd love to see the stats on how many times Boozy is successful in taking the ball off an opposing player. Bet he'd be up there near the top in the SPL.

I like when Boozy does this weird tackle where he sort of comes round the back of a player and then dinks it off the guy's feet with the tip of his toes. It takes speed and timing to get right. Highly unorthodox but effective a lot of the time. If Boozy was out the team injured I think we'd toil in the centre of midfield.

Boozy was limping long before half time - I said to Greencol he would be subbed at HT.

"Player of the year so far" really??? For me, it'd be Fletcher by a country mile.

I don't think JC will drop Kerr, he's the only outfield player to have started every game this season. He must see something in him that I don't. ind you, according to this, everyone see's things that i don't!!!
