Re: Clayton's Not Impressed

Fair point about the other Hibs players joining in the celebrations, according to the refs interpretation of the law, they should have been booked as well?

That would have meant that MAC would have been sent of for his 2nd booking!!

Sometimes has a tendency to freeze in front of goal but for some of the crowd to call him a cube was a bit off.

We should give the ref a frosty reception the next time we see him

My mate texted me at the game saying he was unsure if there was contact or not from his angle and would have to wait until he got the chance to see it again before deciding if it was or wasn't.
The angle I had at the game wasn't favourable either as he was coming towards me so all I could see was the outstretched leg of the Fakirk defender.
After seeing it twice yesterday on the box and watching the highlights again I would say there is contact and its taken Donaldson out of his stride completely. Penalty.

Heres another look if your unsure. Hibs link first highlight package.

Watching those highlights I'd say donaldson's tackle to get him sent off was a perfectly good tackle

Didn't even need to watch it again. It was as clear as a whistle. Knew as much at the game.

The letter of the law has to be amended on certain issues from what we witnessed on Saturday.

Re: Clayton's Not Impressed

I saw nothing wrong with the "red card tackle" either - looked perfectly good to me and certainly didn't lack commitment. Perhaps the first yellow card was for scoring a goal and not for over-celebrating?

Watching the highlights last night, Donaldson scored and then went towards the crowd. He looked like he was stopping before he crossed the line but Courier pulled him over to the crowd. Fwiw the commentator on the highlights mentioned that the law was brought in to stop players baiting opposition fans and that they were still allowed to celebrate with their own fans [which imo is fair as it is an emotive sport]. If thats the case both yellows should be rescinded and the ref should have his nuts chewed for being a complete fukking clown

Gatheussi and the **** that tackled him should both have been sent off at the flare up point as well. All in all the ref was an 'rsewipe who couldnt control the game in any way shape or form and not only did it spoil what could have been a good game I also believe it cost us the three points.

In my mind we were looking like we could put a few past them and it was going to be a comfortable victory until the clown in the middle interfered.
