Eden_Hibby is on the way to a first team debut
is whittaker really worth more than naismith?

strange one this but must say super price for the player, also the comments on the official site about the training site now paid for puts paid to any thoughts of us splashing the cash? lets hope this is the end of the sales, time will tell, also with the amount of players now with the old firm when we play them do we boo them all or just the mouthy ones

I'd say he's a far better player than Naismith. Bear in mind that he was never a defender until Blobby decided that's where he'd play him. If I was a betting man, I'd say that if Hibs had developed him as a midfielder then he'd be more valuable than the £2M we've just received.

Was thinking that too, but we'd be booing most of the game, don't think whittaker deserves a booing, thompson and murray on the other hand.....

O'Connor apparently...

I believe the words "ring-fenced" were used.

I thought he was more hyped up than TomHun and said so many's a time. Every time I seen him play in midfield he did nothing to show e he was something special. Get over him guys, he was average and we won't miss the Hun bastard.

really sick of this we have lost almost a full team now, fair enough jc has brought in some new faces, but it seems he's willing to let good players go to easy, how long before murph goes or fletch

Re: is whittaker really worth more than naismith?

In all honesty I think the Huns have lost the plot if they are prepared to pay more for Whittaker than Naismith. Whitty is a decent player but like other before him he will be no more than a squad member at Ibrox. I'd be quite happy about this one if only there was more evidence of reinvestment in the team. To put this question another way, most thought we got a great deal for O'Connor, who thinks Whitty is worth more than O'Connor?

Two million for Whitty?

You think that's too easy?

Easy money more like.

For the avoidance of doubt, anything stated in the above post is written without prejudice; is probably completely uninformed opinion, and possibly just a figment of my imagination. Readers should either ignore, treat with contempt, or simply accept the spirit it is written in, without recourse to huffy replies, legal action or threats of violence.
That includes YOU.

Having watched Rangers last night I would agree they have lost the plot. The O'Connor deal involved Hibs being paid £1.5m up-front, no questions asked. The deal for Whitty, apparently around £2m, final installment due, whenever. If spending some of this, all of it, makes Hibs a better team, then Whitty leaving will be no big deal.

Grandad Smith rates Whittaker above Naismith. After watching that total

You are spot on with that. But if (possibly the second biggest if in the history of scottish fitba) Hibs continue to play as they have done in the pre-season games, Whitty will not be missed.

2 million in for Whittaker 2 million out for Naismith......Would be the best scenario I reckon as Naismith would just be another reserve with us where as he would be an automatic starter for hibs
