BOLTON WANDERERS' latest signing Heidar Helguson is set to play against Hibernian at Easter Road on Wednesday.
The former Fulham striker, who completed his move to the Wanderers last week, will travel with his new colleagues to Edinburgh with a view to playing in the game.
Sammy Lee is set to make a few changes against one of Scotland's top clubs and is expecting another excellent test for his squad.
He said:
"Hibernian will be another good test for us. We have had four excellent competitive matches in South Korea and we expect it to be no different at Easter Road.
"Hibs are one of the top teams in Scotland and are producing a number of excellent players from their youth system. They will give us a great game and this will be perfect preparation for us as we continue our progress ahead of the new campaign.
"I will be taking an experienced squad to Scotland. A number of players will be rested after South Korea. I like to give all my players a specific programme of football fitness, so every friendly we play in will be crucial to achieving our objective of reaching our fitness goals ahead of the 11 August.
"Our new signing Heidar Helguson trained today and is excited about playing. He will travel to Edinburgh and will figure to some degree."
Hibs finished sixth in the SPL last season in John Collins first season in charge since taking over from Tony Mowbray. They also went onto win the CIS Trophy.
After the losses of Chris Killeen to Celtic and young duo Kevin Thomson to Rangers and Scott Brown to Celtic, Collins has brought in replacements with no fewer than seven additions to add to the loss of these key players including Motherwell's Brian Kerr, Clayton Donaldson of York City and German youngster Torben Joneleit.
Hibs are without their recent signing Alan O'Brien after the former Newcastle United midfielder picked up an ankle injury but fellow new boy Thierry Gathuessi is likely to be involved after completing a permanent time switch from FC Sete following a successful trial spell. Hamstring victim Steven Whittaker may also make the game after returning to training this week.

Nice to see them spelling one of the unwashed names incorrectly

Be nice to see Thierry get a game and hopefully we can see Whitt's in the green shirt again. Gutted about O'Brien though
