Besides. he wanted a two year deal and for whatever reason [penny pinching or otherwise] we chose not to offer that. Why the Fuk shouldnt he look somewhere else without being vilified by supporters? You would if your boss didnt offer you the deal you wanted wouldnt you?

You're right he has the option to look elsewhere but he let himself down by being economical with the truth in what he was telling the Hibs fans

As I said last week spent a couple of hours with him on a night out recently and he said then that he was definitely going to go to cardiff as they were the only team willing to give him the contact he wanted.

He did tell me that they came in for him after his operation and he went and spoke to JC and RP about and extended deal and they said they would only offer him the year no more (and also a pay cut if he got injured during the season).

IMO he was right then to take a good look at the cardiff offer. They are going to offer him a longer contract and more money. He wanted to sign because he felt loyal to hibs, but why would you sign a contract and stay on somewhere were the management and board dont seem bothered if you stay or go?

it goes to show you hibs need to start paying the wages to keep players other this is going to happen for years and years

there's no way in the world cardiff city can offer more than hibs to a footballer other than money

Not sure about this whole situation because-:

On the one hand, he was our top goalscorer this season, and looked an adequate replacement for GOC. Plus, a 2 year + contract isn't such a risk when you weight it against the 5 year one we gave Zemmama.

On the other hand he's "sick note" Killen, who's only played about half of this season, and only been fully fit for about 1/3 of his entire spell at Hibs!

Has anybody else heard anything about Killen going to Celtic? According to some guys on Kerrydale Street, Killen is stalling on his move to Cardiff cos Celtic have shown some interest. It'll probably turn out to be rubbish but they sound quite sure about it
