why is it when a player signs for the hibees he lateer comes out and says he wants to use us as a stepping stone to better things. they should keep their gobs shut and be thankfull hibs want them. any thoughts. (clayton donaldson todays record).

Its not just Hibs, its possibly every club in Scotland, including the Bigots from the West.

Do you think the SPL is the top of the tree for a footballers career?

Players say these things, or journo's interprete that as what they mean, but they soon realise later what they said, or inferred, was not exactly respectful towards the club or its fans and dont repeat it, well not in public anyway.

I don't see the problem, let's be honest every player at Easter Road would move on to a better offer if one came along. They're only saying what we should know is the truth. It is our fault for believing and idolising the badge kissers. At the end of the day they are just employees.

Well he is speaking the truth. Would you prefer if he said hibs have been his team since he was a boy and its a dream come true getting to play for the team he loves?, one good season later he swans off to a team like colchester.

He says he wants to use Hibs to fufill his ambition and get in the England squad. I suppose in a way he could be saying that, but ive no problem with it.

If he comes in, scores goals and clubs come and pay millions for him, im all for it.

That would explain his slight sluggishness from that point in the match and IMO one of the main factors in York losing

To get a move to a bigger club he'll have to play well for us in the first place.

nothing wrong with that as long as they play fantastic while here to win that big move, just have to accept reallity and realise our place in footballs ladder, we are no longer the huge club we think we are and that goes for every club in Scotland as far as Im concerned and to be truefull I dont have a problem with it.
