I'd be keepin Smurph.

We need the kinda cash than Broonaldo can bring in and Whitty won't be too bad a loss. While the ideal is that we keep all three AND still strengthen the squad it's not the way it works and i think Smurph will be the hardest to replace.

murphy we've no real cover for him except stevenson whereas we have mcann if whitty did leave. Brown is away no doubt about that and a big transfer fee for him is guaranteed

Agreed. Murphy for me and hopefully someone will come in to replace him. I think Brown will be a huge loss but not if we get the kind of figures for him that have been bandied about. Whittaker will be less of a loss and if someone offers £2M I'd bite their hand off.

If Hibs can continue to produce players and sell one or two per season for multi million pound transfer fees, then you would have to think that we could afford to increase wages and attract a better overall standard of player and possibly manage to get ourselves into a position where we can keep a quality squad together for a bit longer than we have done up until now.

With the new training complex, improved wages and building a reputation for improving young players ER will be an attractive to place to come to, for aspiring young players.

However it is a huge task to keep being able to produce young players of sufficient quality to be able to perform at the top end of the league, win trophies etc and be able to sell at least one or two a year for multi-million pound transfer deals, without having to return to year zero each season and rebuilding a team from teenagers.
