scaredyhibby is on the way to a first team debut
Hibs form

Whilst the recent results have been disappointing on closer analysis I feel it could have all been so different -:
3-3 v Rangers------by far the better team overall .A real spirited performance which deserved all 3 points. Magnificent display from all the youngsters and excellent games from Boozy, Whittaker, Shiels and Fletcher.
0-1 v Pars-------Again recognised as the better team on the night missing a number of clear chances. Poor refereeing decisions ends up losing us the game .The team didn't play great but just needed a wee slice of luck.
2-2 v Dons-----Again a real spirited performance with a mixture of youth and experience (tho' the experienced players were pretty young too) .In the lead twice and again perhaps the game could have swung our way and with a wee bit of luck may have got all 3 points.
0-0 v Pars--------Once again the better team on the day but couldn't find the net. Dominated in the second half of the match but despite constant pressure couldn't find a way through the massed ranks of the Pars defence.
0-1----------v Pars Probably the worst team performance but definitely didn't deserve to lose . Missed a couple of good chances in the first half and if they had been taken the final result would have been all so different.
1-1---v St Mirren Not a great performance but an early lead never really looked threatened until a late error of judgement by Jones allowed the Saints in to equalise.Benji missed a glorious chance to make it 2-0 just before Saints scored so once again the end result could easily have been 3 points to the Hibs.
0-1------------v Hearts Again a match we dominated for the most part and a late error by the 'keeper costs us all 3 points. Plenty of chances missed prior to this should have seen us in easy street and once again 0 points could so easily have been 3 points.

In conclusion we could have had a record of 7 wins instead of 0 wins 4 draws and 3 defeats with a wee bit of luck here and there. Now I understand that football doesn't always work like this but I feel that we don't always get the "rub of the green" and perhaps things aren't as bad as our recent results would suggest. We seem to lack the ability to "grind" out results when a) Teams don't allow us to play the expansive passing game or b) the team aren't functioning to their full potential. Some may say that's the difference between winners and losers and there may be something in that and JC must address this to allow the team to move forward.

As the saying goes if yer auntie had baws-----

Two poor performances from Hibs in the cup games. The league games have been used to try out different players & formations . I wouldn't read too much into them result wise. I think it was interesting to see JC try the 3 at the back stuff yesterday. Last time Hibs played that formation on a regular basis it worked quite well.
