Red card shocker

No foul at all

Never a free kick, certainly no caution and as for the ....what was Richmond on?

Thought so at ER. Seen so for certain on Satan TV just now.

Appalling decision. Unfortunately no appeal can be made.

I hope the supervisor hangs him out to dry

Are you kidding? A supervisor give a bad report? More chance of the SFA taking action against the huns.

Richmond was appalling today - but Boyd is a cheating bassa.

Not all red cards can be appealled. It will depend what category the referee marked the red card against in his report but looking at what happened it doesn't look like a violent conduct or serious foul play type offence (does it?). Have to assume it was probably for preventing a goal scoring opportunity (even though he didn't) and dont think that those can be appealed? Unless things have changed of late...can anyone mind what Falkirk successfully over turned recently.

That said, I still think Hibs should contact the SFA on Monday morning first thing about it

I'll take your word for that.

The standard of refereeing in Scotland is so bad i don't think we can expect the supervisors [ex refs] to be any better.
Every year we hear the SFA scream out for more people to train as referees.
If they are in short supply its hardly likely they will be 'demoting' a poor[being kind here!] ref when they probably don't have a ready replacement.

Re: Red card shocker

This is all great stuff...castigating the ref is all very well but lets take a bit of time to reflect on proceedings.........

The linesman waved for the foul not the ref.

Whilst I agree the ref is an arsehole lets at least berate the right guy.

Defo said on the radio that the ref looked to his linesman and then awarded the freekick. They were more surprised that the linesman hadnae given a penalty!

I said in another thread , the ref looked for the linesman but i saw no flag or indication , the linesman was by far in a better position than the ref but i'm certain his flag remained by his side

In that case it was an injustice Forza. Just like the penalty incidents in teh semi :dub4:

I can only go with what I heard.

On the bright side it sounded like Hibs spanked the glory hunters for a god bit of the game.

I, like Forza, didn't see this either.

Regardless, the referee still made the decision to show the red card...the assistant didn't send off Beuzy. And there was no obvious discussion between officials as to the severity of any offence unless this was done by the wireless mikes? Richmond's call to show the

Whether the assistant intervened, or not, only the referee can accept that opinion (or not) and act as he sees fit.The referee is perfectly entitled to over-rule any assistant and is still very culpable in the decision making process as soon as he takes any advice he acts upon - and ultimately is accountable as such.

The linesman indicated that a foul was committed, Boozy was last man and therefore had to go. If he did commit a foul and took one for the team well good on him. The important thing is that it sounds as though bozy might have found his true position,,,the next Franck do you think?

I for one thought he played very well , perhaps a back 3 with wingbacks suits our style to a T
