How do you rate this season?

First trophy in 15 seasons? Five goals in the final? A goal up at half-time in a cup final for the first time in our 132 year history, at the 20th attempt? Knocking hertz oot along the way (our first ever league cup victory over them and our first cup win over them since Sat 10 Mar 1979? Six goals twice, five goals twice? A 2-1 win over the huns that could have been 8-1? New players such as Lewis Stevenson coming of age? Bouncing to 'Chelsea Dagger' with a jester's hat and a pink scarf on, next to my Dad and brother? Standing ootside Jaynes and seeing TC and JC with that gleaming cup, bedecked in green and white Hibbie ribbons? Then standing ootside the hoose ma 64 year old faither grew up in and JC pretending to point a gun at us? Seeing Ivan Sproule, Steven Fletcher and David Murphy, in particular, going radge with euphoric joy?

THIS SEASON WAS TREMENDOUS. IT WAS, LIKE THAT PICTURE OF THE CELEBRATIONS FOLLOWING rOB jONES'S OPENER, IN THE SLEET AND THE SNOW, ICONIC.

These are the good times, baby.

I consider this as a pretty good season im mean we have won our first cup in 16 years! If someone had told us at the start of the season that we were going to win silverware we would have bitten their hand off!

we'll look back on this season in 10 years and i'm sure it will be remembered as the most eventful year since the mercer merger year,90/91....so many things have happened,most of them mentioned in the above posts so i wont go over old ground...what i will say is the season of so much upheaval(90/91)is now remembered for,1.hands off hibs campaign.2.semi versus huns.3.final victory and after match celebrations.....so i'll hazard a guess as to how this season will be rembered in 2017...1.new manager.2.cup final victory.3.players revolt...issues like thompson leaving will be forgotton in the same way we forget that paul wright left us in 91...losing a semi at hampden is nothing new and it will be consigned to history alongside the defeats to ayr,dundee utd,aberdeen,hearts ect...who'll remeber the years those defeats happened off the top of their heads?(except slovsam and 7t's)...hearts fans spoiling a parade in front of a few thousand fans will probably be laughed about as it was quite funny if the truth be told but on the whole that too will be largely forgotton...so,to summarise,my crystal ball tells me that this season will be viewed in the future as the most successful season since 91 and a launch pad to a brave new beginning under the strict,professional leadership of john collins.

Winning the league cup was a great achievement, but I feel let down by the SC exit, and our poor league form.

I voted great because I think we have a lot to be proud of this season with winning a cup, getting to the semi in another cup and playing some great football bringing in some very talented youngsters who can only grow in potential and do even more for us next season.

I am disappointed with some of the performances in the league but there has been various factors in this and we have still come through it all hopefully with all the supporters still proud to be hibby.
