This question came up in the pub. Can anyone tell me the last hibs palyer to get a testimonial. I thought it was rae or hunter i also mind of arthur duncan getting one i think.

I remember it well I was in the old main stand If my memory serves me well and it happened right in front of the dugout didnt it???

1988 was Rae's
1991 Alan Sneddon v Aston villa
1996 Gordon Hunter v Coventry

Hibs won 3-2 with Gordon Strachan playing about an hour for the cabbage (but only after ensuring Joe T wasn't going to play on the opposing side !!!).
Strachan scored a penalty, Keef scored a header and Willie Miller scored a rarer than rare 20 yard screamer (only bettered by his Cantona-esque chip against Clyde in the SC in 1991).

I think the game was played in October 1996 (Ray Wilkins played for Coventry and obviously impressed Lexo so much that he was signed up shortly thereafter, much to my bafflement).

Who is the current player with the most service ? Is it Whittaker - been with Hibs since about 2000 ?

came across the programme from the Gordon Rae testimonial the other night, very small piece in it by Gordon Strachan basically saying ' remember I'm a Hibs fan so go easy on me. ' take it Joe T didn't read it

last testimonial I was at was Kevin McAllisters on a minging Friday night at Brockville about four years ago when Strachan turned out for Hibs, Zambernadi hit the bar from inside his own half iirc.

thought Mickey Weir should have got one he must have given us 10 years service despite short holiday at Luton.

Don't think he's in the game..

Was assisting Keith Keith Keith Wright at Cowdenbeath a couple of years ago..

Someone told me the other week that him and JC were not too close when players at ER when i suggested Mickey would be a good addition to the coaching set up at ER..
