I wouldn't grudge Murph a move.
He arrived at ER with something to prove after serious injury & has been very good.

Agreed. If he goes in the summer then good luck to him. If he goes in the summer we (SPL) will have lost possibly the best trapper of a ball we have at the moment.

If you do go David i'm sure I speak for the hibee nation when I say you go with our best wishes and our thanks for playing for us

Murphy wants to move back darn sarf, he also wants Hibs to get a fee for his services!

We do have what looks like an extremely able replacement in Stevenson!

If he goes, he goes with my best wishes. He has been a model pro while at ER and the best LB I've seen since the late, great Erich Schaedler.

No disrespect to the great man Shades but i'm sure i've heard that Shades was not a great football player. More a committed die for the cause 110% guy?

Murphy not a better player?

Shades was a gent. As a bairn me and a pal went up to ER in the summer holidays and offered our services to the them groundsman Alex Kerr..

We were in the Dunbar end weeding and Shades came over and took us up to the kitchen in the old stand and fixed us a biscuit and large glass of orange dilluting juice.

My pal stuck at it for a day but i stayed on all week long and got rewarded with a complimentary ticket for the opening days fixture v Celtic.

I created a weed free zone for the sectarian scum twin..

For the avoidance of doubt, anything stated in the above post is written without prejudice; is probably completely uninformed opinion, and possibly just a figment of my imagination. Readers should either ignore, treat with contempt, or simply accept the spirit it is written in, without recourse to huffy replies, legal action or threats of violence.
That includes YOU.

I'd say that's accurate , i remember a very very fit athletic guy always 100% commited but i'd say Murphy has a better touch , pass etc

Quite possibly but my point was that, since the 70s and Erich Schaedler's day, Murphy is the best LB I've seen in a Hibs strip.

And when shades tackled you, you stayed tackled. Fuk I wish we had one oh him waiting in the wings. A stanton, blackley, gordon, marinello, cropley, o'rourke or some other such ghost from the past would be nice as well.

Re: Bolton after murph

David Murphy has been a total pro week in week out since he signed for us and if he does leave in the summer i wish him the very best and an example to other players on how to conduct themselves.

jennstrng is on the way to a first team debut
Re: Bolton after murph

Not sure if anyone has already heard this or not but one of my mates from work thinks he started this bit of juicy gossip and that is all it seems to be.

He is a rangers fan I am afraid but he was at the game with some of his mates last tuesday night at hampden who are hibbys and was sitting near to chic young. He also heard the 'bolton scout' talking about Brown but thought he would make something up and shouted to chic........"Chic do you know who that is over there, it is the Bolton scout up looking at Murphy".

Sure enough the next day it was plastered everywhere that Murphy was being watched by a Bolton scout.....if this is just gossip then it shows how the media grasp on to the least little bit of rumour and try to make a story on it.

I think Murphy will be away at the end of the season regardless of this being true or not regretfully but I wish him all the best as he is a good player with great potential.
