scott brown

stating the obvious perhaps, not to mention the feckin galling, but in my view scotty demonstrated last night why he is a class above everybody else in the side, and indeed the best player hibs have brought through, possibly with the exception of JC, in my time watching them.

his appetite and drive left the others for dead. i think he concluded at one point that he was going to have to walk the ball in himself if we were going to score, and he very nearly did. he feckin carried those around him for much of the game, and was always driving, creating and pressing when others around him were posted missing or were just fannying about.

i think scotty's the real deal and if he doesn't do the stupid thing in the summer is capable of a premiership career and being the engine of the scotland team for the best part of a decaded.

it's been a privilige to watch him, and i don't think i'll slate him even if he does go to rantic now. i base this on the contribution and commitment he has given, even after he was clearly on his way out the door.

Agree 100%! He was phenomonal last night - pity the rest of them were gash!

Could watch him all day! I LOVE SCOTT BROWN!!

I agree. I actually don't think we've seen the best out of Scotty, certainly not over the last few months - last night showed what we will miss - he absolutely dominated the midfield in terms of energy and running but without support he was never going to make a real difference. Also showed to me why we actually miss KT - he and SB made a great partnership (one that showed KT in a better light than he maybe deserves) - Boozy is no KT. I cannot see us replacing a midfield with SB and KT in it for a very long time. Stevenson is the great hope for next season, but who will be around him?

Re: scott brown

dunno how Scott Brown ended up on the losing team last night cos he was head and shoulders above every player on the pitch.

sadly we'll barely see him in a Hibs shirt again, maybe another couple of times after his suspension is over.

feck knows how we'll replace him.

Re: scott brown

Totally agree with all the above

He will go on to be a real star in the Premiership

Not sure if many saw it, but Darren Young was trying to noise him up all game. About midway through the first half Young would not give the ball back at a Hibs free kick. Brown took it off him, walked about 5 yards away and proceeded to boot it in Young's face as he was trying to kick it back to where the foul was. Even Jim McIntyre smiled and gave Brown a wee pat on the head as he was passing him

The laddie is superb, and I really believe he could be a superstar, if he picks the correct team to go to.

Hard to bear that we're only going to see him in Hibs shirt one more time at Easter Road... the last game of the season against Celtic. He's the best player Scotland has produced for years. He'll leave a cup-winning hero with the fans chanting his name.

I said last season that Scott would captain Scotland one day and I'm certain of that. Undoubtably the best player to come through the ranks since Paddy.
He'll sell himself way short if he moves to the weedge.
Already a legend in my book.
Thanks for the memories Scotty.

His performance in the first half yesterday was a joy to watch and was the only plus from last nights game. Hopefully he goes to the Premiership and who knows he might even come back to finnish his career at Hibs. Legend.

Re: scott brown

If we are to go with youth then hopefully another gem wll come through.Stevenson has shown he is going to be a cracking player, mccann looks to me the natural successor to whittaker and gray has the potential to be as good as garry oconnor.Mcneil i think will improve but what we need most is a good blend of youth and experience.Lets hope jc brings in hungry players and next season can be one to look forward to.

Dunc89 will become famous soon enough
Re: scott brown

Last night was when I really realised how good a player Scott Brown is. Head and shoulders above every other player on the park; skilful, stylish, committed, strong, attacks, defends... he is a brilliant player.

He's far too good for Rangers or Celtic, and with the continued interest from Premiership clubs, I think he knows this himself.

He's been a pleasure to watch playing for Hibs, and I hope on the last day of the season against Celtic we make him aware of this fact.

Re: scott brown

Agree with all of egb's post.
You had to feel for Scotty last night since he was so clearly better than the rest of the team.
No matter how much he put in they were just not good enough to play at his level.
And what a lot he has been putting in lately

The value of his partnership with KT is also now apparent

I will always like your style scotty you arrogant aggressive home grown Hibernian football player

Very few players i can think of are as strong on the ball as SB , you never see him outmuscled he must have great upper body strength and balance . He can beat players for fun , tackle and score a few too add that to immense stamina .
He's the new Paul Scholes
