Just checked the stats for the match :

Shots on target Hibs 9 Dunfermline 5
Off target Hibs 10 Dunfermline 1

We created enough chances (although some of these were lacking in power ) despite their negative tactics, but their keeper played a blinder. Bamba looked pretty solid for them and marked Jones out whenever he came up. Can't we vary the set pieces?

Sorry I must have been at a different game. Jones won almost every corner and knocked it into the danger area.

It was someone anticipating the second ball that was missing.

I agree. Its a racing cert that Murphy will aim every corner at Jones' head. All opposing players must by now know exactly what's gonna happen.

Exactly. Even a slight variation at times might be a little bit more challenging to the team defending it..

Well when Killen was fit, it was actually worth varying the set pieces, as we had someone else who could win a ball in the air. As he's injured now, it makes sense to aim everything at Jones, especially in a game like last night when he's winning everything near him. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

The part of our corner routine that needs fixing is, as Willief said, the part where people anticipate Jones' knock downs, and pile in on them. Again, that would probably happen a lot more if Killen was fit, as he's the only penalty box poaching bastard we've got.
