what happened tonight was what i was convinced would happen in the first game; a mugging in the last 5 mins after failing to convert our chances.

as you say, it could have been scripted. the orange bastard ref just made it a sure thing.

Not in the slightest, sorry to bore previous readers but as i said before i was telling my mum and dad at half time that i knew we would get beat as we traditionally never seem to play well second half against bottom teams. Also i pointed out that we would conceade a penalty in the last ten minutes and we would rue our chances. Anyone want the lotto numbers give me a PM. end of the day, we had 180 minutes to score one single goal that would have beat the fifers and we didn't, and they are heading one direction, DOWN, so i dont know how to reflect to be honest.

tonight summed up our entire season for me: plenty of attacking flair, skillful play and good buid-ups, unable to kill of teams, lack of a real goalscorer, and paying for a costly deffensive error big time. oh and wank refereeing decisions.

I was worried about our chances after about the first 20-25 minutes. I just couldn't see where a goal was going to come from in our team we were just so predictable. The Pars just sat in then hit us with a sucker punch at the end.

Hibs always struggle against teams who defend in depth and harass our ball-players. It needed someone to take reposnsibility and get into the box. Scott Brown at least tried this in the first half, but he faded in the second.

In answer to your question, yes, I was surprised that this Hibs team which lit up Hampden only a month ago, could play so badly in two games and get knocked out the cup by a team heading for the First Division.
