Angry Total Disgrace

That was one of many poor performances tonight that we have had to watch this season. I get really pissed off with the usual fans saying "typical Hibs." Its about time this stopped, what a chance missed tonight. Collins and the board need to start doing something or we can forget about even a top 6 finish next season. The CIS cup win has just proved a distraction for a poor season.

Money has to be invested in the squad and the rubbish cleared out but I doubt anything will happen.

Re: Total Disgrace

I started a thread with the title 'Typical Hibs' and while Iunderstand why that pisses you off, isn't it true? Do we Hibbys not always get to see our team in these positions and falter? It is typical Hibs and my view is that things from fans saying its typical hibs etc should be pinned up in the dressing room as motivation to get the players lazy arses into gear! This season will be looked back on as a success given what we have had to put up with (losing our manager, Thomson/Brown fiasco, Player revolt) but your right, the cup win has hidden the fact that this is a season that could have delivered so much and has delivered, as stupid as this sounds considering we won a cup, so little.

The team we have at full strength I genuinely THOUGHT was good enough to win the CIS get third in the league and get to the Scottish cup final and maybe do over Celtic. But now Im not so sure. They dont have enough fight and bottle and they need to start playing for each other and get a winning mentality rather than the 'o but we won the CIS cup so who cares' one!

We were all over them, played some fantastic football, had two certain goals cleared off the line, a stone wall penalty turned down, and were beaten by a 85th minute penalty. If we had any luck tonight we would have scored four or five.

They had a shot cleared of the line, played a disciplined game, and played some good football too, but in my mind there is no doubt that we were by far the dominant team.

If the ref performed like that to the cost of an OF team, you can have no doubt that he would be relegated to the lower leagues for a long time.

But we lost, the ref will get off the hook and we'll have to get ready for next season. Such is football and such is life. If you can't get over tonight, then i despair for what everyday life is for you.

A piece of silverware, numerous Hampden appearances, emerging future stars, a massive cash windfall coming in the summer, yet another top six finish, and a consolidated future.

The end is nigh i tells ya!!

One decent striker (or a bit of luck) tonight and we'd have won - and none of these negative threads would appear.

Players will move - no doubt there. Not a hell's chance of a great deal of money being spent - we all know that.

Re: Total Disgrace

canny deny im dissapionted about tonight we had the beating of them in both games and couldnt put our chances away. I think to say a mass clearout is whats needed is a bit of a knee jerk reaction to a result which could have been so different if we had the rub of the green.

If you offered me a piece of silverware and top 6 at the start of the season i would have happily accepted it.

Re: Total Disgrace

Disappointed yes, disgrace no. We did everything except put the ball in the net and while I know that is the whole point, we are short of a good forward. Benji, Fletcher and Shiels are decent players but not really anywhere close to the prolific striker needed and Gray well I think it is just too early for the boy. Not sure why JC started with him.

Also Dunfermline while not great by any stretch are not as bad as has been made out and they are improving all the time under SK.

It's all ifs buts and maybe for us again.

On the plus side thought that the support who turned up were superb, apart from one a***hole shouting at McNeil all through the game.

To be fair - most here have been saying for weeks (if not months) that Fletcher's form had dipped. I had no problems with the starting line up - and agreed with the HT sub.

I agree - they're much improved - and it's not just us that have paid the price. We were better than them (not by too much) - but they got the goal. Hope they gub Celtic in the final.
