Thought it was a cracking goal, for a player making his debut he certainly looked confident in his own ability and his decision making in front of goal.

Crackin debut. Apart from his goal which he took superbly, he looked like he belonged in the first team and wasnt overawed in the slightest (unlike a couple of the other young lads).

Pushing for a place at least on the bench for me, on that display would even start him ahead of Fletcher

Out of that list only Riordan fits your description!

Fletcher's fairly thin, so! Stevenson has really bulked up and looks solid to me and McCann isn't a rake either. All these players look strong on the ball.

Thing about Gray was, he had the confidence and attitude that for me, likes of Fletcher just doesnt have. He wasnt afraid to go in for 50/50s, like when he was clattered by their keeper.

Great bit of play for the first goal. Not so much the finish (which was impressive in itself with the composure he showed) but the chasing the defender and getting a hand on him at the precise moment he was passing it back. For me that showed great instinct about what and when a striker has to do something.

Really excited about him on that performance, and I wouldn't object at all if he had worked his way into a starting place for Tuesday.

I have to say that after Saturday we have learned that he IS ready to make him way into the first team.

Took his goal well and looked dangerous, All he needs to do now is gte up to the quickness of the tempo of the matches and he is good to go.

I was impressed with all the younger lads on saturday other than Lynch.
