Im not gonna start by saying ive heard from a good source but im led to believe that john collins has been on the phone 6 times i the last 2 weeks to jim jefferies about naismith and naismith seems to be keen on a move to hibs. The person who did tell me about this knows colin nish supposidly.

altought im listening to real radio and someone just said it will be nish at hibs and naismith at hearts

just passing on what ive heard

Re: steven naismith

I think with the option of going to an english club might lure Naismith away from Scotland. Would the wages being dished out a Killie be any different to the ones at ER

Going by the league positions, wouldn't Naismith be taking a step down in the world?

Sounds as likely as Brellier joining us.

Any offer we made that was accepted by Killie, the Old Firm would match then offer double the wages we do, purely because they can.

Exactly what i was thinking and also stated by almighty hibee that wages will probably be round about the same. But the main reason that the young austrian player has signed for us is because john collins has agreed with him that once he develops into a better player he will not stand in his way of a move to a bigger club and this same method will be used for naismith. To be honest i cant see us gettin naismith but you never know.

also heard from the same person that a young french player from monaco will be coming on loan next season i think his name is mollo or mollio not to sure of his first name he is 16 and will be part of hibs plans for the next 2 years as hibs and monaco are trying to sort out a feeder type club for us, if they have any young players that have good potential they will be going to hibs because of this new training complex we will be getting, i dont know what type of facilities monaco have but they surely are not bad.

Wishful thinking. Our restrictive suffocating wage ceiling will never let us buy a player like Naismith. The only new faces we will see this summer will be the usual bargain basements and untried youngsters.

True.
Waste of time.
That type of player is no use if we are looking to win more than the CIS cup.

Your correct. If we want to push on and have a period of sustained success we need to bring in experienced proven players and try and hang onto to the decent ones we have. We have struggled in the league this season. The CIS has just papered over the cracks.

Re: steven naismith

Think its safe to say there is no chance of Naismith, Scotlands second best talent behind Broony IMO coming to easter road. Do Arsenal not have first option on him anyway? Even if we went in for him and killie accepted our bid, then someone else would obviously come in for him and offer him FAR better terms as was sed somewhere above.

Sadly Colin Nish is more of a possibility!

Re: steven naismith

Considering Collins has stated publicly that he will have no money to spend even after the sale of Brown how the hell would we afford Steven Naismith? I mean he would cost atleast a six figure sum, im not aware of his contractual situation or the state of the clubs finances but I seriously doubt we have that sort of cash.

Basically there is no chance we could EVER sign Naismith! With no money we woudnt be able to get a player that is half as good!

I would take Nish at ER.

If Chris Killen decides to leave as is becoming increasingly likely, then Collins will need to bring in someone who can do the same job as CK did, ie play with his back to goal, hold the ball up well to bring others into play, and score goals. Nish can do all this (12 goals this season so far), and he would love to play for the team he supports.

As you say, Nish is more of a possibility than Stevie Naismith who will be offski to England I think.

No chance of this happening . More likely to get his 12 year old brother on a pre-contract deal !!

I agree, got a Killie fan in my class but when i see him play he doesnt do that much compared to Scotty just fro an example that we no about. Naismith reminds of Chris Burke quite pacey but just never really looks like they can go on to that next step. Burkes hair is more flamboyant than his play IMO. If you gave me the option of having a right winger out, Naismith, Burke or Ivan Sproule, id pick Ivan every time. I think if you asked every Rangers fan that they would say Burke, but deep down they knew Ivan is more dangerous.
