Well he used to be a jambo and he's noo alright now.....(but isit Petrie's fault?)

Poor Mickey Stuart that’s him away and why not? He's played some great games but he has been pish in the last few games before St Mirren (throwing up on the side line cause of stomach bug - my arse thats runnin about with a hangover.....na probably talking shite on that one anyway gettin off the point), but it has to be said that the way boozy was playin on sunday Stuart could have definitely come on and made a difference in his spot.

Im sure the player revolt would have made the dissension to get rid of Stuart a lot easier for the management no team wants to look like anything like the bawbags at swinecastle but the real person to blame for last weeks turmoil before a cup semi-final is ROD PETRIE.......

As soon as he did not slam the door on the players faces and gave them a forum to speak on he undermined Collins.....in any business situation that would have been totally unacceptable for a senor manager or Partner to do this unless he/she did not have faith in the manager. Collins must quietly be ragin that Petrie let them in especially when he was over seas.

As has been discussed previously if people are not happy with their line manager (in this case JC) then its perfectly acceptable practice to go to his boss (IE. RP) so No it wasnt out of line for Petrie to meet with the players. What would have been out of line would have been for RP to follow your suggestion and slam the door in their faces. That would really have solved everything eh! You're way way off the mark with your post.

You couldn't be more wrong.

It is entirely the norm for a complaint to go to the next in line manager.

In a football club, JC answers to the Chairman/MD so their approach to Rodders in entirely in line with most business practice.

Incidentally, Rodders response is entirely in line with best business practice also.
Had he refused to deal with the players then their next course of action would no doubt have been the PFA and the press. (Although of course somebody leaked the story anyway.)

Rodders has no blame at all imho.

For the avoidance of doubt, anything stated in the above post is written without prejudice; is probably completely uninformed opinion, and possibly just a figment of my imagination. Readers should either ignore, treat with contempt, or simply accept the spirit it is written in, without recourse to huffy replies, legal action or threats of violence.
That includes YOU.

OK rodders shuts the door in Mikeys face - he goes straight to the papers.

RP listens - doesn't support or condone, then deals with it later - spot on rodders

Looks like the revolving door is started. Stewart and Simon Brown out for starters, Donaldson, Kerr, Brellier (hee hee) in. I'm glad JC is doing this now cos was getting fed up of lack of activity last couple of windows.

This way Collins gets hs team ready for Pre season without waiting till last minute.

Can I ask please - what was the point in that post?

These points have been made, albeit more intelligibly, on other forums a few days ago - even last week. The matter has been dealt with and is now closed. We are looking forward to our biggest game in years. I suggest actually thinking before making posts detrimental to fan morale in the lead up to said game.
I have taken nothing of value whatsoever from your post.
