What's it got to do with Madness? I have the greatest respect for the Nutty Boys but they should not be intervening in Scottish football.

I have to agree with you Kenny. There is no sense whasoever in playing this at Hampden. i could see the sense in Tynecastle or Fir Park as an alternative. Surely Hibs and the pars must lobby for this tomorrow.

While an undoubted sell out at Tynecastle on the face of it is a great idea

you would have the scenario that it would really only be Hibs season ticket holders only who would be able to attend.

Dunfermline could easily make a case for around 5,000 tickets being the Roseburn stand and 1/2 of the deathtrap stand which only leaves 12,000 tickets left over which Hibs would have to allocate on 1 for 1 basis to the 11,500 season ticket holders.

On that basis I can't see Hibs lobbying for a Tynecastle match as attractive as this sounds so Glasgow in front of 15,000 still seems very probable unfortunately

I honestly can't see 15,000 being at Hampden.

IMO we would take around 8,000 and Pars 3,000 maximum..

From a fans point of view Tynie would appear the best option.
From a "better chance of beating the Pars" point of view, Hampden for me.
The small, tight park at Gorgie only helps the hoofers.
So, if the larger playing field gives us an advantage in getting to the final and more importantly into EUROPE next season then Dumpden it is!

My 15,000 shout was based on the midweek semi v Ayr and I think it was around 14K for that disaster IIRC.

Either way a semi final at Tynecastle would grasp the imagination to some extent and the season ticket holders of Hibs would be pretty sure to take up 11,000 tickets on a 1 for 1 basis hence there would be a lot of very decent and loyal Hibs fans who would be disenfranchised.

Anyway Dunfermline would be mad to allow the game to take place at Tynecastle as they have more of a chance at a ghost like Hampden than at a capacity Tynecastle 3/4 full of Hibs fans.

Exactly what me and my dad were saying after the game. It saves a lot of hassle going back through again and is also unfair on those who can't make a replay. Should be one game played until there is a winner.

The crowd for today was reported as 25,000 and I would expect there to be substantially less for the replay. As far as ticket allocation goes, how about priority to those people who went today. Proof being stub from today's game ? Maybe a bit hard on folk that chucked their stub away. Maybe just do away with priority altogether in this case.

Those who go to the replay should definitely be gauranteed a cup final ticket (if we get there of course) then again i hope it isn't all ticket

My guess is that there will be 15,000 at Hampden for the replay on the basis there was 14,000 a few years back for that nightmare v Ayr and I know there were 25,000 there today cos Chic 'Chico' Young said so.

Of this 25,000,19,000 were Hibs fans there today and as Hibs would only get 12,000 tickets for any potential Tynecastle replay any ticket stubs allocation cannae work.

I don't agree. People who went today should get a free final ticket should we get there. There's a slim chance I will be able to make it to the replay but some other so called Hibby's might go to the semi so they are in with a shout of a final ticket.
