Best Seats at ER

I'm going to get myself a season ticket this season for the first time.
Where is the best place to get a seat??

I always sit in the east, as the atmosphere is amazing but the restricted view can become a bit annoying

I've sat in the FF Lower and it was murder, the view wasn't that great(hate being behind the goals) and the atmosphere even worse!

Whats the west like??

I fancy the west too , trying to gauge view v atmosphere though when it gets going i reckon the west can be good too.
It would need to be lower and reasonably central though i'm only after one seat so might be possible. The pillars issue puts me off the east a wee bit though there may be decent singles available

Atmosphere is ok at the big games in the west, but if you're used to the east stand, especially the middle, it can be a bit of a culture shock. Good view though.
I have to go back to the west next season (doctors orders, was meant to do it this year) so i'm hoping for a seat as close to the away fans as possible as that bit looks ok.

Re: Best Seats at ER

Yea I only need one seat too, so im hoping there might be a chance I can get a seat for the west. I'd be prepared to sacrifice a bit atmosphere for a gid view, (as long as its not as quiet as the FF lower, could hear a pin drop in there)

Ive came to the conclusion that the east is the place to be when its a fine summers day in the middle of August & we're playing the scumbos for the first time this season.

But it aint so good middle of January when your freezing your bawz off & the only thing to keep you warm is the bovril for which you have to wait in 1 of the 4 kiosks for an ENTIRE stand.

i sit in the lower west section 2 row s and it is as good an atmosphere as any other in the ground, i have had the same seat since the stand opened and its the same faces every year so getting a seat there for next season maybe hard to come by,would have been easier had they not fixed out the disabled prices.

being right next to the away fans has its moments as well, hope to have my seat for life then leave it in my will.

Its a good atmosphere in the West Lower near the away end especially against the old infirm and that mob across the city

Re: Best Seats at ER

Sat in the west upper last season with my sons, next to away end and it was good seats but the atmosphere aint the best but IMO its like that in all parts of the ground these days, sure the east is the best for atmosphere but even that aint like it use to be. Didn't get s/t this season so mainly been sitting in the east and my boys much prefer this, they are only 8 + 9 but suppose compared to west and FF east is more exciting for them so i've got us s/t in the east for next season but me personally would not hesitate for a moment to go back to west my view from the seats i had ( was right at top and back) was fecking ace.
