Public sale of Tickets for the Semi-Final against the pars today and no problems getting my hands on a couple of tickets for this one.

Called at 9am off the phone by 9:05am with tickets purchased.....

what a difference a few weeks make.

I'm basing the 20,000 on the numbers who turned up in April 2000 for the Livy Scottish Cup semi final.

It's cup semi finals rather than glamorous cup finals where you get a true reflection on the size of any clubs support.

Hibs v Ayr was 11,779 with 7,000 Hibs fans
Hibs v 'Scotland's Shame' was 27,954 with 8,000 Hibs fans

However these were Wednesday night games while at the weekend the attendances were:

Hibs v Aberdeen was 22,193 with 17,000 Hibs fans
Hibs v Hearts was 43,188 with 20,000 Hibs fans
Hibs v Livi was 24,658 with 20,000 Hibs fans

Given that it's a Sunday, this will put a lot of people off but it's not on TV which should help the attendance but either way the ground won't be half full and if Hibs sell 20,000 I'd be surprised and expect it to be nearer 15,000 which isn't really all that bad.

surely for the non ST holders who are making the effort to go to the semi-final should be rewarded with some sort of priority for Final tickets if we reach there because as we all know tickets would be like gold dust if we got to the Final.

if there is between 15-20k in the hibs end, hibs to make a priority system. Frist ST's with a semi final stub, then anyone else with a semi final stub, then any ST's who couldnt be arsed ging to the semi, then everyone else.

no no, we have some of the west stand. Or i could have got tickets there on tuesday anyway.

My mistake mate.... i was going by the online ticket site and it didnt list the west stand for sale so i just assumed.

If there turns out be a priority for possible final tickets then people better get themselves along.
A 15 to 20k turnout would make the decision easy for Hibs in that a final against Celtic would make it 1 per season or 1 per semi stub the general sale.

We dont have the West Stand.

We have the whole of the North and East Stands, and half the South(Main) Stand.

Dunfermline have the West Stand and the other half of the South(Main) Stand.

The only time we will share a stand at Hampden, apart from the South(Main), is in the Final(if we get there

just got mine online. 2 adults 3 kids in the east stand only £45 + £7.50 booking fee ( con ) anyway i suppose £45 for 5 folk is pretty good value.
