Just over 11,000 STs. 3500 in the away end. Capacity of 17,500. Where are the other 1,500 tickets then?

I dont think our capacity can be 17,500 either. all the games that have sold out in recent times against old firm/hearts have all had attendaces of less than 17,000 I believe

Even at sold out games i always notice empty seats ayt the lower west stand towards the FF end. Dont know why that is.

when the whole of the south stand is for the away support I think its very few

Think he means if the South is getting shared. There is none for segregation if the whole stand is away support... Am i right?

None, in the case of a derby.

I thought our ST count was now up to 12K, with 1/2 Seaso's included?

All the black seats(Lower West & FF Upper) get sold off now, some as hospitality others just on their own.

I tried to get 3 online this morning for section 33 Lower West, it was the only area shown that was available in the West, and it told me it could'nt get 3 together in the same row and try again with a lower number.

So I did.

Then it told me it could'nt get 2 in a row together and try again with a lower number.

So I did.

Then it told me it could'nt get one in a row together and try again with a lower number.

So I did.

I got 3 together in section 37 in the East.

I called and asked Hibs when I was collating a table of SPL capacities. I was asked who I was and why did I need the data, when I replied I was told it wasn't available. All our 'sell outs' are around 16,500 I notice.

Couldn't take the time off school to get into Edinburgh, mum was on the phone and waiting until 10am to be told they were sold out.

Not missed a home derby in ages - gutted.

Our registered capacity with the Stadia Commission (Stadium Safety Officers Board) and the SPL is 17,400 seats. Hearts is 17,402.

Remember that even if every single ticket was sold, some folk take ill, get stuck in traffic, season ticket holders don't make it (I'm 90% sure I won't be at the derby game). There was a bloke had a ST beside me last season, only went to about 20% of games.

but when ST holders dont make it aren't they still counted as being part of the official attendance?

I dont know for sure, but I would guess it happens at all stadiums. too much bother to work out how many ST holders turned up and how many didn't

The attendance is given out(on radio/tv) during the game, it would be practically impossible, at ER, to have all the ST stubs counted before the end of the game to give an exact figure. As Hibs have already been paid for these seats they are pre-counted, and non-ST seat sales are added on to the ST amount to give an attendance figure on seats sold, rather than seats occupied. A common practice at lots of clubs.
