(i) They grind out a draw in their own special style (must be murder to watch every week)

I think derby games are always hard to predict, dont think it ever matters who is playing good and who is playing shite as both teams are always up for it, but seeing as we're at home i'l go for a comfortable 3-0

I personally think that it's a complete cliche to say that form goes out the window in derby games. Hearts were better than us for a fair bit of the 80s and early 90s. We were better than them throughout the late 60s and all the 70s, and it has been pretty even over the last 8 or 9 years. In the late 60s and early 70s we had a phenomenal record against them (they went something like 5 years without scoring against us!). In the 80s and early 90s they went on long unbeaten runs interspersed with Hibs going a few games unbeaten in between.

I think atm Hibs are miles better than Hearts. Look at the games we've played this season against them; draw at ER when we were on course to drub them before Zibby had a brainstorm, an absolute tanking of them which I still can't quite believe only ended up with a one goal win for us, and a bad Hibs performance where we gifted them a two goal lead, but would likely have still got three points before Shiels was sent off.

When we played them in the two each game they still had some resilience left over from last season, but they were on the verge of collapsing completely before Zibby intervened. They were completely gone before the sending off of Shiels at Tynecastle. We are due them an absolute tanking imo, and I think it will happen if we get an early goal.

If things go right for us, then it is on for a cricket score imo.

Normal football matches are hard to predict never mind finals or derbies....how many would have guessed we'd have won 5-1 last week im thinking not many, after their complete gubbing last week to Dundee Utd i think they are going to be more up for this than any other game they've played this season....however im goin for a 2-1 win to the Hibees either Jones/Sproule in the 28th minute Benji 65th min some Lithuanian getting a consolation in the 80th......Romanov coming out with some anti-Hearts favourtism post match.

No reason at all why we can't wallop them. They are due a pounding from us andsince they are without hartley and pressley it could very well happen this time around. In the past they have escaped ER with a moderate beating mainly because hartley and pressley played the part of 4 and encouraged the rest this time I don't know if they have anyone to lift them. Depends on mad vlad's team selection I suppose and his team talk.

How much of the derby factor will apply though, for a squad of foreign mercenaries who have not grown up with the fixture and all it represents? They have no Pressley or Hartley driving them on this time.

Bearing in mind we ran riot over a decent Killie side, why should we fear the Yams.
