ramsay1875 is on the way to a first team debut
Damon Gray

Has he had a chance in the first team yet ?

Do you think he should get one ?

He has scored 23 goals already this season for the under 19s

We have seen some youngsters get there chance this season eg, Stevenson, Mcneill, Mccann and Lynch

With Fletch not playing as well as he can. Should Gray get a Chance ?

Re: Damon Gray

Next season. We've already got Lynch and Campbell who are a few years older than Gray and they've hardly had a chance yet, plus Killen out injured and Donaldson arriving soon.

Watched him today and I think he's a very exciting prospect. I've seen him in some other games to but was'nt sure who was until I had the benefit of a teamlines today.
He has a great first touch, reads the game well enough to get his position and runs into the box, and is very composed on the ball.
His height could be a bit of a drawback for him, but he's in the mould of a Harper(Joe) or (dare I say it) Robertson,

and is'nt scared to put himself about.
Would certainly do no harm to pitch him in, after the Final, for the remainder of the season to give him some first team experience.

And JC was watching on today

Re: Damon Gray

this kind of thread is quite stupid unless you have actually seen the player.

for all we know he could be 4 ft 8 and built like a pencil.

There are quite a few people who take in reserve games(mainly home) so I dont think it stupid if they gave their opinion on player they've seen.

true. i do think, however, that it's daft for someone to start a thread saying "this guy has scored lots of goals, we should start him".

personally, i'll leave that decision to JC

It always will be JC's decision, or until it becomes someone elses.

Re: Damon Gray

Plays up front as well. Always played up front in the reserves. The club website has him down as a Striker, although I admit he has played in midfield for first team this season.

I've been to quite a few reserve games this season, not all of them, and mostly at home, and I've yet to see Sean Lynch played as a striker.
Yesterday he played as one of two central midfield players, the other was Grant Smith, and he was on the right side of centre. He was also Captain. The players who played up front in the reserves, at games I've been to, have been Ross Campbell, Damon Gray, Tam Sowunmi, Amadou, Benji, Tam McManus, Sam Morrow, Dean Shiels, Fletch, to name but a few. But never Sean Lynch. Even when he did get a first team game it was always in midfield.
