The police were like the Waffen ss. They told my brother,and my son they were going to arrest them for swearing. My brother pointed out that they better have a big van as there were another 1'000 or so fans swearing. He was then getting lifted for being 'lippy'

End of the game the police followed them until they were on the bus, filming them as they went.

same here stretch we were followed by 2 police officers to the match one with a video

Probably was them, D+G is the smallest force in the UK, only 150 polis or something like that, I doubt they'd be able to handle it on their own

I was wondering when this would be mentioned.

I walked backwards while they were filming, sort of a defiant one fist in the air protest.

Why oh why were they filming? Am I entitled to the footage?

Can we really annoy them and have all of us request the footage?

Are football fans in general now more persecuted than a speeding motorist, litter lout or ned?

I'm told, from equivalent situations in NI, that it is 'evidence-gathering' so the tapes can be used in the event of any trouble.

Sounds like Keystone Cops stuff to me, though.

for our Big Brother auditions. And they were as polite and curteous when we spoke to them in the town before the game. Never had the slightest of problem whatsoever. I amy write an article praising the police for their behavior too.

Not too sure of what you can get but fairly confident that you can ask for a copy and should there be no investigations active, you can also ask for the tapes to be destroyed and a copy of the destruction cert
