It's 8 days between the Falkirk match and the Final. There is no need to be resting people. This weekend should be used to get the team ready for Hampden, not playing people who have no chance of being in the team.

On current form I think he's far more worthy of a starting berth than Boozy, but Boozy is capable of moments of magic that can win you games like a cup final. Plus he is reasonably experienced.

I agree - they're athletes after all. Rest your "main men" against Falkirk and their replacements play blinders - what do you do then? Play the essence of the team you hope to field in the Final.

The game against Falkirk is important but not season defining and for that reason I would rest a few of the better players (ie potential match winning players) for the Falkirk game and this means David Murphy, TweedleDee and Sproule.

No doubt JC will come out with all the usual pre final complete nonsense about 'no one's place is guaranteed, 'everyone is playing for their cup final place' yawn yawn

Hogg was outstanding against 'Scotland's Shame' and just needs one more decent game against Falkirk to keep his place ahead of Martis, Zemmama needs games and time is not on his side and even though Fletcher's form slump is very inconvenient Sumwoni doesn't look sharp enough yet.

Stevenson though might force himself in to the team as he has played well recently and it may be at Benji's expense as JC never seems to fancy playing Benji from the start.

There is though a strong case for resting Andy Mcneil and putting Mr Teasy Weasy (ie Gordon Marshall) in goal for the Falkirk game.

i think mcluskeys contract has been paid up and he has left the club i no it was only rumour a few days ago but he wasnt even on the bench today and i dont think he is injured!

Leave the poor lad alone, he is a decent enough player, I would not hesitate to play him in the final if we wanted to play 5 across the middle, with Fletcher not amongst them, and Shiels/Zemmama not playing. Jamie McCluskey has played almost 30 games for the club, he would cope fine with the final, I admit he would be weakest player in the team but so what? He could do a job for us if it came to needing him.

Oh aye and when I said back 5 I was using the common term for defence + goalie.

Funny how before Martis was always in peoples teams and now its Hoggy?
Hogg is a great defender who will take a vital role in the final and vs Falkirk ,he and jones seem to be a better partnership with jones heading and Hogg clearing.
