I think you may have a valid point here. Marshall is the goalkeeping coach and our goalkeepers (at least our senior ones) are crap - the jury is still out on young McNeill although to date he looks ok - Now I know you cant make a silk purse out of a cows lug but the errors yesterday were basic goalkeeping stuff and Brown should never have made what really is two cardinal goalkeeping sins. So i'm with you on this Marshall should shoulder some of the blame.

true but im sure marshall should be teaching him some positional sense for free kicks corners etc ! both zibi and brown have no positional sense what so ever if us fans can see that then surely so should marshall and should be working on this no?

The fact remains that these to are not good enough for this level of football and should have no future at the club. I could be coached by Maradona, Pele and Eusebio but I still wouldn't make because I didn't have it in the first place and neither do these two useless fools.

Brown's positioning at the first goal was something that he would have been taught as a bairn - surely Marshall shouldn't have to go over all the basics again? A workman is only as good as the tools he's given . . . and GM was certainly given a right pair of tools to work with.

Accepted that they were schoolboy howlers. Yes, Marshall does have to continue to hammer basics into Brown as clearly he doesnt remember them. Unless hes absolutely outstanding in training of course and its only on the pitch he fuksup.

But the fact that professional football players get coached at all is surely to improve them?

If Marshall is not improving the keepers then why employ him?

If JC has the success with the non goalkeeping players that Marshall has had he'll be out a job come the summer..

If anything Zibi and Simon have got worse in their time at ER.

I don't think you are going to get any better as a 30yr old? As a youngster you improve. Yesterday was basics. A professional fitba player should be able to do the basics. The sooner Brown and Zibi are punted the better!!
