Total shambles.

Amateurish.

Pretty confident that this will contribute significantly to hibs not being able to shift all our tickets for this game.

Anyone who needs time off to go to the final would be off their nut to book time off under these arrangements.

I'm worried I'm not going to get a ticket (not being an ST holder, living hundreds of miles away...) I've had to book trains, time off work etc and I won't find out until a week before the game if I've pished all my money away...

Totally sympathise mate.

The club seems to go to extraordinary lengths to piss people off. It does not deserve the loyalty it currently enjoys, and the empty seats at Hapden, again, will be totally down to the guys in charge.

Imagine using the biggest game of the season to trial a new ticketing system? FFS, it really does beggar belief.

Re: CIS Final Tickets Re-Scheduled

Any one got a clue what is happening,

Booked tickets on the hot line, got an e-mail saying that my tickets would be posted out, Hibe are saying they have to be collected,

Then called the ticket office and was told that they are only taking the booking and are unaware how Hibs are dealing with this.

Typical Hibs winding up everyone

That's a very good point as I have a friend who is in exactly the same boat having received an email saying the tickets will be posted yet Hibs are saying that phone line tickets should be collected.

Anyone know???

It's not as if Hibs don't reach cup finals as there has been two in the last 6 years as well as numerous semi finals but this time around the ticket organisation attempt has been rather amateurish though all the back tracking and amendements have been communicated superbly by a past master in the art of spin doctoring.

I'm in the same position. no idea whats happening.

'Because of the success of online sales and the Hotline Number there are a substantial number of tickets to be collected. Two days would not have been enough time to complete these collections before running into a Public Sale in the middle of the week'

what does this mean, two days would not have been enough to complete these collections? does that mean if tickets that have been ordered over the phone aren't collected then they will be released for public sale?

I too ordered online and was charged £28.50. £26 for ticket, £1.50 Booking Fee and £1.00 postage. So I was a bit dismayed to see talk of having to collect tickets. I spoke to the Ticket Office before the game yesterday and they confirmed that tickets will be posted where that has been requested, but they probably won't be out until the end of this week.

That's a very good point as well though I presume the answer is no.

This means that less than two weeks before a cup final where Hibs will take 26,000 -30,000 supporters there will be a 3/4 day period where nobody is allowed to buy any tickets.

That has to be the ultimate in quite staggering incompetence and just when you thought things were getting a little bit better as well.

I wonder if the 'SpinMeister' will mention this in his next ticket update.

Re: CIS Final Tickets Re-Scheduled

I'm not in the habit of complaining just for the sake of it, but this does seem a little bit dodgy.

Delaying the public sale of tickets by a couple of days- until say Friday- might have been understandable, but to leave it until the Sunday is a strange one.

I've no doubt Hibs will sell out, but clearly the way they have organised the ticketing has not been a success given the vast queues and waiting time for people last week, the delay of the public sale and confusion over whether tickets must be collected or not. Lessons to be learned for the future hopefully.

Re: CIS Final Tickets Re-Scheduled

We've not even seen them trying the Scottish Cup Semi-Final yet, where the club have had less time to prepare than the League Cup Final, and where we will be getting more tickets because Dunfermline will be getting less (not that we'll sell them all).

Will the SF be all ticket?
Don't see the need myself, but who knows?

Strange that despite originating all these threads, 'Hibs Official' (whoever he is ) never contributes any further. Perhaps he might like to come on and respond to some of the posters above?

Although I don't know the techy terms, Hibs Official is a 'robot' bouncer who acquires Official Hibs news for the bounce as the Official Site operators do not offer that courtesy to us, hence the lack of response.

The S-Final will definitely be ALL-TICKET

The Weegie polis, and the SFA, would'nt have it any other way, especially where Hibs are involved.

Re: CIS Final Tickets Re-Scheduled

what the hell is happening with the online system??? I got my CIS semi ticket on this no problem, but now my email address and password doesn't exist. Tried to re-register and it said my postcode doesn't exist - it bloody does so. Then registered at my mums address in Moffat and got new password. Tried to get onto system today and once again I don't exist.
Anyone else having similar problems. THIS SITUATION IS A TOTAL FARCE.
As I live just outside Liverpool I can't queue up on sunday and will therfore have to rely on the phone lines for tickets - NO BLOODY CHANCE. Think I may miss my first Hibs semi or final due the clubs inadequacies.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
