stand out player again when as a team we were below par....

If Murph was faster he wouldnt look out of place at one of the top four Premiership clubs. Still pishes over most left backs in the SPL

Re: Murphy...

I think instead of all this Nakamura-Fergushun pish the now in the papers about player of the year Murph should definitely be considered. Is one of the most consistent left-backs in the spl and always seems to have a good game

Re: Murphy...

If I had to name an SPL team of the season just now:

GORDON
WHITTAKER/TELFER ANDERSON McMANUS MURPHY
LATAPY NAKAMURA GRAVESEN ScBROWN
NAISMITH STOKES*

I think Murphy would face stiff competition from Lee Naylor though, lets be honest

Have to disagree strongly here.
I don't think Whittaker has had a great season. Still gets caught in possession too much and gives the ball away far too easily. Telfer is at best a workmanlike full back. Gravesen has barely played a dozen games and gey few of them were full 90 minutes.

Oh course thats not going to happen as Hutton will get in it because hes old firm gash and the strikers will end up being Hasselink and Boyd for the same reason

Couldnae really argue with any of that but i may replace Gordon with Boruc. Naylor naw, but S Smith of the hun maybe.

Oh and Barasa in front of Whittaker obviously!

Re: Murphy...

Aye agree with you there, Gordon hasn't played much recently. I think Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink would be the best player in the SPL if we could actually stay fit for more than 10 days at a time. There are other players (for instance Kirk Broadfoot, decent CB) but I think we have to be aware that the 'best' players at the weaker clubs stand-out more - Scott McDonald being the example. Of course since both aforementioned players are stand-outs and get results for their teams v the Old Firm, both are now subject to enquiries by the Huns about buying them in May.

Re: Murphy...

David Murphy has had a great season without a doubt. I thought he was going to score goal of the season to-day before being scythed down
