Cup Final Sales Commence (Merged Threads)

Is there any way when you're getting tickets that you can make sure they're not going to be near the front of the stand? usually for these kind of games I go along to the t.o. and just take the first tickets offered, but if you're ordering over the phone or online can you specify what row/section you want to sit in?

Re: Cup Final Tickets

I would say yes or at least I am going to try. They can manage to do it when buying a ticket for ER so I can't see why hampden should be difficult. That said they can't do it when it comes to the PBS. I can't imagane sitting in the front row at hampden watching a steward who is stood between you and the goals.

Re: Cup Final Tickets

I would say yes unless Hibs dont have a choice about where you sit, i want to sit at the back of the North not down the front as there will be more chance of standing!

I was thinking if everyone just stand when they go in then there is not alot the stewards can do....if i get a ticket right next to the Killie fans then everyone will be standing and getting the songs going, if i get told to sit down then i will gladly do so.

Re: Cup Final Tickets

I just phoned the ticket office as I was wondering about the same. Apparently, when you phone, you can say which stand you want and which section, so I would assume that based on this you should within reason be able to ask for seats either at the front or the back. Seemingly when you are on the phone, they will take your tickets out the bundle and should be able to let you know then what you have been allocated, but hey, as well all know, things at ER are not always that simple.

Good luck anyway.

Still think you would be better going down though!!!

Re: Cup Final Tickets

When I booked tickets for the semi at Hampden last year I was able to specify I didn't want seats down the front, however I think I might not have that luxury this time as demand will be greater.

Not having a season ticket (living where I do) I'll consider myself lucky if I get there at all.

I think there should always be a standing area of a ground,Theres always people who will complain about standing though.

hope thats the case. I wouldnt be surprised though if for each section they start with tickets for the front of the stand and then work back and you just take what you're given. I would go down in person but it'd take me ages cos I'm a two hour train journey from Edinburgh at the moment. anyway i guess its not too important, we're going to a cup final so its all good!

Not on the day perhaps but considering it will be Rock Steady they can lodge a complaint to the police and council and safety certificates can be removed, HSE actually have the power to stop the game if they feel there is a danger present.

Re: Cup Final Tickets

how did people going to the ticket office get on? did you manage to be able to choose where you could sit? i phoned and was only able to choose to sit in the north stand. I asked to be near the back near the halfway line but the girl I was talking to couldnt help, told me it was first come first serve.

I dont know what the situation at the ticket office is but if you're not bothered about being allocated random seats then just phone, I got through in less than 5 minutes.

What is the point in people standing in a big queue just now for? There is a whole week to get tickets. Madness.

If you want some control over where you want to sit, it is understandable that you would want to get there as early as possible. It is also perfectly understandable to want to avoid the scandalously high £1.50 per ticket booking fee.
