How do you think Hibs should distribute tickets for QOS game?

This seems to be a bit of a regular occurrence with big games away from home.

Re: How do you think Hibs should distribute tickets for QOS game?

agree or disagree, but this is my idea...................Tickets for the QOS game should go firstly to those fans who went to........
Aberdeen V Hibernian
Scottish Cup game, the fact this game WAS Live on tv, AND at night, AND with work/school the following morning, AND being diverted to the Kincarden Bridge due to ferocious wind and rain on way home, AND getting off bus And getting absolutely soaked, no buses, no taxis about, AND being laughed at for travelling away up there on a night when the game was Live on the box.
Yes I was there! AND I and all those who went up SHOULD be rewarded for doing so, Hibernian know who we are!
Appologies to those who would have went if differing circumstances prevented this, but I cant think of any fairer system.

I couldn't make it that night so I'd miss the game but that sounds fair enough.

After theyve given me one they should just get Rod Petrie to stand on top the ticket office and throw them in the air.

Some people will go to great lengths to get a ticket but you've taken it too far!

Re: How do you think Hibs should distribute tickets for QOS game?

If you start a point system from scratch you'll get the old farts coming out with the 'were you one of the 50 who were at Arbroath away in 1983?? I was and I deserve more points than youse glory-hunters'. Also if some absolute diehard works abroad for the first two seasons that a point system's in place he'll come back behind and may never overcome the points gained by a toddler whose only ever had two season tickets.

I think a ballots the only fair way of doing it.

they should do what happens on the Friday Night Project; attach all the tickets to Rod Petrie's body, dump him in the middle of Edinburgh, then leave him to run around til they've all been grabbed off him/he's torn to pieces

Re: How do you think Hibs should distribute tickets for QOS game?

I think it would be impossible for the club to come up with a loyalty system as alot of our away games are pay at the gate and i for one would not be happy being given points for games at the hunnery, darkheid etc.I try to go to as many away games as i can, there are times like in the past month where we've had 3 games in a week and i've only been able to make two because of the costs. For example,i go to Kilmarnock on the monday, the cup replay on the thursday but i simply cannot afford inverness, why should i be penalised because of this
To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 5 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
I have missed 6 games all season.2 at inverness, pittodrie in the league, parkhead, tannidice and falkirk. If this were to count against me even after attending every other league and cup game at present i'd be furious
To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 5 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
Over the coming weeks it looks as if ill be going to every game before and after the split. To go to every game bar 6 in a season where we've had an extended cup run (twice) is pretty good IMO.Of course there will be others who go to all the games, the guys who i travel to the away games with on a regular basis went to these 6 games but they don't hold that against me so why should the club or anyone else for that matter hold that against me

Queuing for tickets in the cold at all hours isn't great but at the end of the day i believe that the people who do this when called upon deserve to get the tickets for games like the one coming up,no matter how many games they have actually attended over the season.

The problem with a ballot system is that someone who doesn't go to away game for whatever reason would have the same chance as them theat go to most games.

I don't see how that can be fair.

You have to have a starting point or you are just left with this system forever though.

A ballot is imo the most unfair way of distributing tickets.

FWIW I reckon that anyone who goes to more than half a dozen away games a season would be guaranteed a ticket for Tynecastle for a start if you had a decent system in place.

How would DB work thou ? as in DB ballot ?

There are loads more on the hibs DB than are actually ST holders
To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 5 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

I know this as my daughter (7) is on the DB and is not a st holder and has only been to 1 game
so it would be well unfair if in the unlikely event she got a ticket.

I tend to goto away games as and when I can afford it, some folk just don't have the money to goto them all but I would not grudge the ones who do go to all the away games in getting tickets
