For me it has to be:

I always do, the reserve league is a highly competitive and valuable tournament, people should treat it with a bit more respect. It's like the InterToto Cup, people diss it but there are many who value it.

Okay fair point. I think it's quite valuable to for giving trialists and people coming back from injury a game. Is that Sowunmni (sp) no a striker?

Why jones in a reserve match? i wouldnt want to risk an injury in a reserve fixture to one of the most important members of the first team, even if he is suspended on sat.

That Sowunwi lad is away, didn't impress he's trying his luck at Luton now.
Sam Morrow is on loan at chesterfield And as far as I know Baillie hasnae kicked a baw for Hibs in ages

Sowunmi together with McManus are to play in the reserve match, both being registered as trialists until Friday I believe. Sowunmi has played as both a striker and midfielder, I was just demonstrating that I would have him in the team - Campbell could slot into midfield, or Lynch in place of Campbell. Can Tam McManus not also play out on the left wing? As far as Jones goes, I'd just give him 10 minutes at the end to keep him ticking over and get a goal!!
Morrow's loan deal was cancelled when Killen got crocked, he was also courting moves to Dundee and St Johnstone. He played in a reserve friendly v Derby for Chesterfield, but Collins called the deal off (and I can find no evidence on web of him going anywhere else). On the Baillie front, I thought he had recovered and was just not far enough the pecking order to be turning out in first team or reserve games, but he may still be unfit. I'm right in saying he tore a ligament on loan to Clyde back in the spring of 2006? Long time out. (And despite still being on BBC Pick-A-Squad Hibs, Ivan Tomatula is long gone I'm 99% sure). |
