I thought that he was a Hibby? Was sure someone had went to school or something with him in the dim and distant past?
With him and Brown in the same midfield the official pencil manufacturers for Scottish refs would not go short of business. 9 bookings in 18 games he's had this season! Anyway, decent player imo. Lots of dig about him, passing not brilliant but okay, really good engine which gets him from box to box all day, and can strike a ball.

I went to school with him and played in the same team from 5 years old upwards and I can't remember him being a Jambo :s He was always one of those folk who just loved football and cared more about playing it that anything else. Cannae ever mind him with a jambo strip on at training or anything though!

can i just say that although blackie has always had some attitude problems and can be way too hot headed he was always brilliant and i mean brilliant on the ball. One of the best players I ever played football with. i could see him fitting very well into out passing game.

I was saying a few weeks ago we should cash in on thommo while we can and slap a 500k bid in for black. IMO he is a better player, gives his all in every game and would be an absolute steal. Ive been a huge fan of his ever since I saw him run the show against hearts at tynie earlier on in the season. ICT ended up getting pumped, but he was the best player on the park by a country mile and im sure he and dargo are both hibees.

Some interesting quotes here from the Caley Thistle vice-chairman which suggests there might actually be some substance to this story:
He said: "We are not looking to lose anyone but if things start happening with Brown and Thomson, it will have a domino effect on everyone else. "It could affect us and, although nothing has happened yet and we have not really heard from them, we realise Hibs might be in touch if their players move on." £1.8 million in the bank (guessing we'd pay about £200k to ICT) and Black instead of Thommo. I'd certainly be happy!

Ian Black would be a good signing IMO.
An aggressive ball-winner who can also play a bit. I know he has disciplinary problems but hopefully we could sort them out. We could reall do with someone who has his work-rate in the middle of the park.

Is this not the one that had a dig at us after our game at Caley a couple of weeks ago? Remember reading something with Ivan saying that he should shut his trap...sure it was Black he was talking about. Surely this might have an impact team spirit wise?
