There is a very good reason why Thomson, Brown,Stewart and Whittaker aren't being listed for the lavish dinner and p*ss-up at a Fife hotel - they are playing for Scotland B v Finland the night before at Rugby Park. I'd far rather they get some B caps behind them rather first and then step up to the national team, they do only have 3 full caps between them currently.

And Fletcher and McNeil have already been called up for the U-21 friendly v Germany at Broadwood on the same night, as part of preperations for the U-20 World Cup in Canada (for which they will be away during the international weekend in March touring Canada, as well as a friendly against Austria between matchdays 2 and 3 of the SPL split). Furthermore, 3 U-19 internationals are to be played in the week before, the weekend of, and the week after the Scottish Cup final. Additionally, the U-20 World Cup will last from 30 June to 22 July. This is why the SPL start next season has been put back from July 28 (6 days later) to August 4 (10 days later). So basically Fletch, McNeil etc. will get no break this summer because as soon as the season finishes they will be in preperation for the World Cup (in fact they will miss the Intertoto if we are in it again).

So far from the SFA ignoring our players, they are making maximum use of all our talents.

And thats leaving aside the fact that Benji or Zemmama could be playing for Morocco U-20 if they qualify (and possibly that Canadian lad that joined us? I believe he is on the fringes of his national U-19 side).

Just looked it up the African qualifiers are:
Congo, Gambia, Nigeria, Zambia
so the Moroccan Pair won't be going.

So how come McGregor,and Gow are called up also in the B squad and there at Turnberry
in Ayrshire. With that jekel moving to the huns we,ll see how long before Thomson gets
his full call up. How could R.P. and J.C sell him to them sold him to big Tony for less
would have been better
